  1. Fresno state also does spring admissions, my status weren't fantastic and I got in this spring!
  2. I just finished the second bachelors program at sac state and loved it, it was very much like grad school where you work in a small cohort and have a small teacher to student ratio, you definitely stand out from the regular undergrad students. Their info is now posted on Sac states website. They are accepting applications for the next fall 2015 cohort, so you can definitely use it as a fall back plan, it would look much better to graduate schools to have a second bachelors from an in class university rather than an online one. Also, you get your SLPA internship which makes you more competitive. The program is only 16 months.
  3. I'm finishing up my second B.S. At Sac State and love the school and the faculty is amazing. For regular undergrads you're paying less than $4,000 a semester. I don't know how hard it is to get into classes since I was in a cohort my classes were already picked for me. Sacramento isn't an expensive place to live in comparison to Southern California or the Bay Area. You can probably get your own room in an apartment for the cost you'll have to pay to share a room in those locations. I feel like most of the CSU schools mainly accept their own so no matter where you go make sure to stand out to your professors so you can get those awesome letters of recommendations! Good luck!
  4. Fresno and Sacramento mainly look at last 60 units and communication disorders courses
  5. Honestly it may be worth it to take the leveling courses in CSD. That's what I did and, and tried my best in those classes. Then I applied to schools that mainly look into the CSD GPA and last 60 units GPA. Look at my stats, they aren't very fantastic, but I got in. I was able to redeem myself with my CSD GPA, therefore they overlooked my overall and first degree GPA. I agree with the poster above, ask the schools what the stats are for their accepted students are, how many applicants they get, what parts of the application they weigh heavier than others, and ask them what you can do to improve your chances. Hope that helped
  6. I'm on the same boat, I'm looking for housing there as well, Congrats to your daughter, I should be meeting her soon! My boyfriend who lived in Fresno for a couple of months said to avoid anything south of Shaw Ave. that was his main advice to me. I'm taking him with me to search for apartments since he knows the area. I've never been to Fresno so I'm a bit nervous.
  7. I highly recommend CSU Sacramento! That's where I am doing mine. It's 15 months but you get your SLPA and experience at the same time!
  8. For California schools they look into the communication disorders courses and last 60 units. They don't care about your previous major grades. That's the case for at least a majority of the CSUs
  9. I just joined grad cafe and have been checking it out nervously while comparing my states to everyone else's. I'm happy to say I just got my acceptance to Fresno State Spring 2015! Can't wait to meet my new cohort! I hope there's a Facebook page or something!
