  6. still no replies... only three rejections from chicago northwestern and princeton yale - almost done giving out offers columbia - received an e mail that they are actually done cal tech - done so.. 10 more to go but feeling all rejection for the rest of the schools
  7. For those who applied to columbia No Email = Rejection I called the graduate office
  8. Yes the class size is small. When i called the grad office they said they are reducing the acceptance size compared to last year (approx. -20 ppl) and they used to accept 80. So this year it might be only 60~ 70 ish. They said that they are gonna tell us about the wait list nxt week. You can call them and give them ur name to look up if u are on the offer list.
  9. Well, I have applied for 17 schools (read the thread below) but i think I will end up getting all rejection. I have called the graduate office and most of them said that good amount of acceptance letter had been sent out. So I am thinking of Plan B, which is getting into MS (from undergrad school) and prepare for Ph.d after that Do you guys think it is a good idea? idk,, i mean compared to last year it just seems impossible to get into ph.d chem program without any publications now. (BTW those who applied for Uni.of Chicago, check your website, I just checked my rejection letter from there- no email notification)
  10. not sure if graduate office is telling the truth cuz i only see 3 ppl who's got accepted to columbia so far.. anyone have info for columbia chemistry acceptance wave? based on 2014 2013 the acceptance letter should be sent out (all of them) but based on 2012 i think we still got time until mid feb
  11. I have called several Graduate Chem department Michigan Ann arbor : 5 or 6 spaces left for Domestic students Northwestern : most of the acceptance letter had been sent Columbia : most of the acceptance letter had been sent Yale : most of the acceptance letter had been sent (But still reviewing) Wisconsin Madison : 800 Applications -> Accepting 250 Applicants. (Still Under Review) Penn State : They checked my name and said they are about to review my application (an e-mail will be sent out by nxt week)
  12. international, no pubs, graduated from u.s. university... applied to 17 schools heard back from princeton (which is rejection) and that's it.. lol i'm so worried. i thought gpa and research experience were gonna solve everything but guess not i see so many pubs and high gpa candidates... feeling all rejection for this year and when does international students acceptance wave start? Result shows that almost 80% of the accepted ppl are american citizens so far
  13. except for GIT , my application status are mostly complete or submitted does that mean i am screened? GIT says that im under dept. review... kinda worried... cornell, caltech (using common app w/ GIT) are all submitted or complete...
