So here I go. It took 25 years to get from the US Army, (the reason I joined was to get money for school)to now, a senior looking for a grad school to finish my education in fine art (painting). I am in Illinois and have a family, so I am going to look at UW Madison, Northwestern, UIC, and maybe University of Chicago. Any help would be great. -

I have about a year left if all goes right here at NIU, painting. How far out do I start the visits and really narrow down my search for an MFA program. Any advise will be great.

I'm a late bloomer. 47 and will be done with my BFA next fall. I am starting my search for grad schools. I'm not sure where to get detailed info for finding a program. Any help would be great
