  1. I interviewed for the COPD major. The interviewer asked about our background, why we want to attend Hunter and why social work. The interview was pretty laid back.
  2. @LoveSW I agree with melma. I don't think you should compare other timelines to your own because it seems that the process is different for everyone. I submitted my application way back in November and checked the forum often. I saw that others received interviews and acceptances before I did and it stressed me out. I know it's tough to be patient. It is always easier said than done. But you will hear back soon. There may be other people out there who received their acceptance after 15 days. They might just not be posting here.
  3. @LoveSW. I interviewed on April 1st. On April 13th my application changed from pending interview, to being reviewed. On April 14th it changed to pending dean decision. I received an acceptance email at 10:30pm on the 15th. I also felt the same about my interview and writing sample. I let my nerves get the best of me and wasn't able to articulate myself as well as I would have liked. I didn't do great on the reading and responding section either. I needed more time and didn't feel like I gave it my best effort. When it was over, another applicant asked why the school started requiring the sample during the interview. The interviewer said that the school just wants to get a sense of our writing ability. She said that it wasn't a make or break, but that they want to provide incoming students with writing assistance if their skills aren't strong. I imagine that the school considers the entire application and not just the interview and writing sample because I felt just like you. Best of luck.
  4. Received an acceptance email at 10:30pm yesterday! So excited!
  5. Finally received an e-mail for an interview after several months waiting. Looking forward to knowing soon.
  6. They changed my status to pending interview in January and I still haven't heard a word about an interview...!
  7. It's discouraging to hear that a lot of us haven't heard back. I can't believe I might be waiting until May. I heard that Hunter takes a long time, but I didn't realize it would take them THIS long. I applied early hoping that it would speed up the process, but it obviously didn't help. It is frustrating to wait, especially since many other schools are getting back to us. Hunter is my top choice, so I'll probably have to put a deposit down at another school. Best of luck everyone!
  8. Thank you for your input rrrrolo and ssk14. I am going to try and get in touch with them early next week. I check my email and spam folder frequently, and thought I would have heard by now. I've heard that they are difficult to get in touch with and I'm sure they'll be extra busy since the application deadline just passed! Best of luck everyone.
  9. Hey everyone. Congrats to those who have been accepted or have received interviews. I'm posting to get your opinion on if I should reach out to the school regarding an interview date. My application was completed on December 12th and my application status says Pending Interview. I am seeing that some people have received interview dates. I am starting to feel worried that I have been forgotten! Do you think I should try contacting the school or just wait it out? Thank you!
  10. Thank you for the information @AstoriaGal.
  11. The status of my application still says Pending Interview. I'm trying to wait patiently until I receive an e-mail regarding an interview date. AstoriaGal, was your interview scheduled on a date soon after they e-mailed you?
  12. Thank you for posting information regarding the Hunter interview AstoriaGal! It's super helpful. Best of luck to you.
  13. Still no word from Hunter about an interview date!
  14. That seems like it could be true mildmannered. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for your response.
  15. Hello there, I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on my current situation with my Hunter MSW application. I submitted my application last week and my last recommendation was submitted on Monday December 1st. My application status is still incomplete. I recently mailed my official transcript to the admissions office and checked over my application to be sure it is complete. Does anyone out there have an idea why the application status might read incomplete? I want to move forward with my application, but don't want to call the admissions office quite yet. Wishing everyone out there best of luck with applications and interviews
