Woops. It was 2014-2015. Very sorry all! (However, I bet there is only a nominal difference in applications between the years. It's still a large feat regardless!) And yes, Tawaintroubadour, the magical thinking in this group is outstanding! The enabling aspect is fantastic.

Just a general statistic for y'all. I tallied the application rates by region and 5,044 applicants applied for research this year (if my math is correct). So...for even getting through this first round -- congratulations to everyone! Same goes for ETA.

Hey Mylime, A friend of mine is an ETA in Sarajevo this year. While this is drawing only from her experiences, I think you'll be just fine if you decide to change a side project for ETA. I don't think Fulbright is too concerned about the side projects anyway-- you're primary responsibility is the teaching.

Not necessarily the best news, but in 2008 most notifications didn't start until 3/28. I'm bracing for another two weeks in hopes to be pleasantly surprised.
