  1. I will probably go. I will be coming back from NASPA right at that time so it may be close. I did not receive a merit scholarship. Dad probably makes to much to be considered, but not enough to help. huh
  2. Accepted!!!!! M.S.Ed in Higher Ed. No word on Scholarships or anything though.
  3. Anyone from the Higher Ed hear today? They said they would start notifying this week!
  4. Anyone from higher ed hear anything yet? congrats to the Music Ed people and history for getting in!!
  5. Have any M.S.Ed (higher ed) or any track heard anything yet?
  6. I didn't get this email is that a bad sign?
  7. Ok, first let me thank you for reading this and any feedback you may give is greatly appreciated. I am currently applying to higher ed/student affairs programs for Fall 2015. I am coming right from undergraduate degree, 3.7 gpa, average to above average GRE scores and tons of experience in higher ed. Experience: Office manager of a student life office, orientation leader, head orientation leader, campus safety student worker, intern in a tutor center working on data related to drop out rates, and even assistant to Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs. I have now received 3 "no's" from top tier grad schools and I am trying to find out what else I could have done or what is going on. I have received one invite to my number 1 choice but won't find out if I am in until late March. I am having a slight panic attack about what happens if I don't get in anywhere. I still have 2 pending applications (also to great programs) that I expect to hear back from in the coming weeks. Anyone else in this same boat or were in this place before. Have a great day!
  8. Masters Candidate here. The application process for my program doesn't even close until Feb 1st. I am guessing it will be end of Feb or March until I hear anything. M.S.Ed in Higher Education
  9. Of course!!!! They are one of the best programs out there.
  10. And I just realized I said linguistics to you, but your Intercultural Communication. (I think I need more caffeine today)
  11. Good luck! Maybe we will see each other there next year. Can I ask what your gap and experience is like? I have always been interested in Linguistics but don't think it would be a fit for me.
  12. Thank you! I hope they are! I also Applied to IU, Iowa, MSU, UGA and UConn. Received invite from IU back in December. I think the masters results come out in late February since the deadline isn't until Feb 1. I think the waiting game is the hardest part though.
  13. I know most of you are Ph.D applicants but I am applying for the M.S.Ed in Higher Education. Directly out of undergrad, 3.7 GPA, lots of undergrad experience (even working directly under my schools Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs on data and research. Average to above average GRE scores. Still very nervous about UPenn saying no though.
