Hi I've applied to MS in CS, but I haven't heard back yet! My status says: "complete and submitted", and the admission decision says: "pending" Does that mean my application is under review now? (I still have the access to update my app) If not, what are the other statuses that I'm supposed to expect before they make a decision? I'm freaked out!

Thinking of the small number of rejections that were sent out by some competitive programs, I don't want to raise my hopes! I'm expecting a mass of rejections, which means this wait doesn't necessarily mean I'm on the waitlist.. So, yeah it could be a soft rejection..

I'm in the same boat! I submitted my app on 12/13/2014, but still haven't heard back! Actually, I don't expect to be accepted, so I'm wondering why I haven't got a reject yet!

Has anyone heard from UCSD-MS CS (after Feb 10th)? According to the grad cafe results, there were no acceptances after Feb 10th. Any idea? That's driving me crazy!

My answer: "Actually, I don't like life in general, so study is the big distraction that I can make to stay alive! AND I'm gonna study until I die!" I keep answering these ppl like that, so they don't bother me again!

I sent an email to ask them three days ago, but they haven't answered yet! I don't think they can give me an extension considering that my offer is for Spring 2015. I haven't found anything about the withdrawal in the admission letter. I found this in my letter: "New students may register beginning Friday, February 13, 2015". Also, they asked for a deposit by February 28, 2015. Doesn't asking for a deposit mean they expect some students to withdraw after accepting their offers? I'm wondering! Hello everyone, I have applied for MS program in computer science at a good school, and I have recieved an offer (Spring 2014). However, I've applied to another school away better than the first one, but its admission decisions may not come out soon. So, I'm supposed to accept the first offer before getting a reaponse from the second school. My question is: what are the consequences of declining an offer I've already accepted? I'm a little confused about deferring offers! Does it mean that I accept the offer and delay starting my course? or does it mean I have some time to make a decision to accept or decline the offer + delay starting my course? I'd appreciate your help and advice.
