  1. So, I recently met with the chair of my committee. I've been working on a theoretical concept for the past year and a half for my thesis. He told me that the other committee members felt I should do the non-thesis option as opposed to finishing my thesis. If I did that, I would have to take an additional 9 hours of coursework (all electives) this semester on top of studying for my comprehensive exams. I asked a professor that I'm close with what they thought it meant and their idea was that because I don't intend on going on for my PhD, it would simply be easier to just do the non-thesis options. Any suggestions on what you think the committee meant and possible advice on which to do?
