  1. I just tried logging into https://ndseg.asee.org/award and when I do I get a message that says "You have declined the offer of the NDSEG Fellowship. Please check your email for confirmation. If you have declined in error, please email us at NDSEG@asee.org and we will reset your acceptance status." Definitely didn't get any emails and definitely did not decline an award. Does this happen for anyone else?
  2. I have a number of visit weekends coming up but I am unsure about dress code. Would you guys assume business casual most of the time? Any reason to bring a suit with me? I guess it would be better to overdress as opposed to being underdressed but I'd also like to avoid being the only one in a suit. Thoughts?
  3. Has anyone else who has been accepted to Stanford heard anything about funding? I was told that we would get an "official financial letter soon" but have yet to hear anything.
  4. Still waiting to hear from UCSB and Northwestern. Scheduled visits to Stanford (February 26-28) and Georgia Tech (April 9-10) so far.
  5. I am in a situation where I was accepted to two schools who have their graduate visit weekend scheduled for the same time. How would you decide which to attend? Are you aware of schools having backup or alternate times to visit outside of the primary graduate weekend?
  6. I got an email on 29 January with the following text: "It is our great pleasure to inform you that you have been admitted to the Ph.D. program in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering beginning Autumn Quarter 2015-16. Congratulations! All offers of admission are contingent on the verification of the fulfillment of admission requirements by Stanford Office of Graduate Admissions." It goes on to talk about the visitation days which are 26-28 February (which is the same days as Georgia Tech!!!). There is no mention of funding or a deadline to accept or decline the offer.
