  1. Over the last few days, turned down offers from WUSTL and CUNY. Hope that helps someone!
  2. I just declined admissions to UC Davis, as well as the Tufts MA program. Hope this helps someone. Hopefully will decline a few more schools here in the next few days as I narrow down my options (having to spend this much time thinking through schools is grueling, but it's a super good problem to have, and I'm humbled and flabbergasted that I even have this problem).
  3. I can! I'm on my phone, so I can't update my signature, but I got a very short email informing me I was on the waitlist this afternoon.
  4. Sorry, me again! I received an email from the DGS this morning offering me admission. The way she made it seem, the first round of funding decisions were made very recently (as recently as this morning), and it doesn't appear that anyone had been offered admissions before today. Hope that helps!
  5. Waitlisted at Yale! The email described it as a "small handful" but no information on ranking or anything like that was provided. Fingers crossed for some sort of movement off the list (but I seriously doubt most people reject a Yale acceptance, so my chances of moving off probably aren't that good).
  6. I just received an email about being waitlisted at Yale. So that probably means they've sent out (at least one round of) acceptances, too.
  7. Accepted to WUSTL and UPenn! Apparently, it only takes one day to go from no acceptances at all to three (!!) fully-funded offers. So don't lose hope, everyone! It's still early, and it only takes one day.
  8. Accepted at UCSD! First acceptance for any grad school, ever. Man, this feels like a huge weight off my shoulders.
  9. Really?! I didn't read the email that way, but it might mean that! Off goes the email to the DGS...
  10. "... you are currently on our waiting list for a departmental fellowship." That's the exact text of the email I received. I guess I didn't realize that's different than wait listing for admissions (although, upon it being pointed out to me, this makes perfect sense). But good luck to you regardless!
  11. Great idea for a thread! My only positive result so far is a waitlist for departmental funding at Indiana's HPS program. I was wondering if anyone had any information on how likely movement off of this waitlist is, based on previous years (maybe pretty good? Who knows?). I'm very excited about that program (especially about the idea of working with Colin Allen!), so I hope there's some movement off the waitlist here in the next two months! For what it's worth, Indiana has also not provided a ranking for their waitlist yet. (Although I haven't sent an email asking or anything).
  12. Hi all! Long-time lurker on these forums, finally sat down and made an account. Wishing everyone good luck with the (hopefully) flood of acceptances that you will all get here in the next few weeks! I was wondering if anyone knew about the admittance process at Indiana for their History and Philosophy of Science program. I received an email yesterday morning saying I was on the waitlist for the program (yay!). There don't, however, seem to be any acceptances posted yet (there are just 3 waitlisted entries). Is this common for school to release waitlists before acceptances? Or is there something specific about the department that I don't know about? Or have people just not posted their acceptances here yet (although who isn't checking this damn thing constantly and wanting to post their acceptances?!)? I appreciate any help anyone can give me. And, again, good luck everyone!
