  1. was posted on results page... LaSalle University La Salle Master's SLP '17 Request to join https://www.facebook.com/groups/1556693654592809/
  2. anyone accepted want to start a facebook group with me?
  3. I'll make a La Salle group if anyone else is planning on attending there that I can invite, just message me!
  4. status in my portal just changed from "complete and ready for review" to "all done" but there's no decision there. logged into where I submitted my supplemental application and saw that I am waitlisted :/
  5. I'm not only worried about where I am going to get the best job based off of the "big name" of a school, I'm worried that the education at these lower priced/smaller schools is subpar compared to the education at the pricier programs. I don't want to compromise myself meeting my full potential as an SLP to simply just save money (although money plays a big factor and I would love to come out of this with barely any loans). I want to know that when I go into the working world I have all the knowledge I need & more because the faculty at my school supported that. That being said, I know all schools pretty much have the same curriculum because of ASHA standards, but still some teachers and clinical placements are better than others. Then, how do we even find this out unless we know a current student in or graduate of the program? Deciding on which school to go to is making my mind go crazy... anyone else?
  6. I'm in a similar situation.. one of the schools I've been accepted to I've always considered one of my "top" schools and I've never really thought of price as something to change my mind between programs (obviously price is a major factor but I figured I would rather be at a school that gives me better opportunities/is a better fit for me and I can worry about loans after I graduate). Now I've been accepted in another program that is $20,000 cheaper in tuition plus I would be able to live at home which would save me a lot of money too, I've also been looking into scholarships here which could make this school even cheaper. The first school has a better reputation but is not located where I want my career (still in an awesome city), and the cheaper school is in the area where I could see myself working. I want myself to have the best opportunities for clinical placements and the best education I can get in order to reach my full potential as an SLP, that is why I am so torn. so: program I see myself as a great fit but super expensive or program that is just eh (in my opinion) but significantly cheaper?
  7. has anyone given temple a call to see when they would send out the rest of the admission decisions? I think it's weird they sent some acceptances a month ago and then no one else has heard anything since...
  8. if you submit your deposit, and then end up changing your mind and attend a different program all you lose is the $200 deposit right?
  9. Does anyone know if Pitt ranks it's waitlist?
  10. Does anyone know anything about La Salle's program, specifically their reputation or any students that have attended their Master's in Speech program?
  11. I got accepted to La Salle today, but most likely will not be attending. Hope the spot opens up for someone else on the waitlist!
  12. for those of you accepted to NYU was it via email?
  13. I applied to Temple and my portal says the same thing. I wouldn't be worried about it, as I believe they send out their acceptances in waves. I would see it as a good sign that you're not one of the people already rejected! As for La Salle, I applied there too... have not heard one thing from them since submitting my application on csdcas.
  14. Has anyone heard anything about what this interview is like? I know it's only 15 minutes so I'm assuming it will be general questions just trying to get to know us better.
  15. From what I heard the actual interview is only 15 minutes, but I think you're there for a little meeting faculty and other students. I doubt the whole thing will take more than 2-3 hours. My interview time is in the middle of the day and I have about a 6 hr drive so I'm getting a hotel.
