  1. The wording was slightly confusing regarding the disbursement of the fellowship. I sent an email asking whether the fellowship was split between each semester (5k fellowship = $2500 per semester) or if 5k was applied each semester.
  2. Update; just received an email from GWU offerring a $5,000 fellowship.
  3. Just providing more data. Accepted into the Security Policy Studies program with no word on funding.
  4. I am turning 24 in April. So far, accepted to American University SIS and rejected from Colombia SIPA. Straight out of undergrad, but no word yet on funding.
  5. Just checked and I too am accepted! Only word on funding was the line referencing FAFSA like most other people on this thread.
  6. Yes, it is quite a stretch of time. On the bright side, SAIS is supposed to release decisions on Friday...the thirteenth. Feeling lucky?
  7. Just got this in an email response from SIS today; "We hope to begin sending admission decision letters in within the next 2-3 weeks and then on a rolling basis thereafter as final decisions are returned from the Admissions Committee. You will be notified via email that your letter has been posted to the online Application Rescource Center portal." It looks like we have some more waiting to do
  8. This one is a callout to all who have been accepted to a graduate program in previous cycles. How many of you just barely made it, applied with no real hope of getting in, or had just average/below average qualifications? What was your story? What do you think pulled your application through? Just how "bad" or average was your application? How awesome did it feel to make it? Going through these boards and only reading about success stories from those who obviously were super qualified can get a bit discouraging. Hopefully this conversation can bring some perspective and peace of mind for the rest of us who are going stir crazy around here.
