I'm so sorry! I wonder how the schools make their decisions? That sounds really competitive to me! Congrats on getting into UofT, though!

I have about 8000 hours of experience, I think? Mostly paid experience since graduating (it's been a few years for me, obviously!) My grades are ok but not stellar, I think my CGPA is 78 or 79.

I haven't received anything in the mail, and I live in Kitchener so I should get it quickly...but the mail hasn't been delivered because of the holiday weekend, so maybe today?

I got an email from Laurier this morning!!!

So probably not alphabetically, then, haha. (Or maybe I spoke too soon, with two people having W names - reverse alphabetically, maybe?) Ok, back to biting my fingernails and checking email every five minutes!

Question to those who've heard from Laurier: what letter does your last name start with? Wondering if they're replying alphabetically or randomly so I can guess when I might hear...

Oh my gosh, my anxiety is through the roof! I still just have the references on my Loris account...desperately waiting for news! Congratulations to those who have heard so far this morning!!!

Maybe they meant that all results would be out by mid-April? I seem to recall from past threads that the results were a bit staggered the past couple of years, with acceptances being emailed out over a few days, and then waitlists/rejections snail mailed out a week or so later...so maybe we'll still get good news this week! I don't know if it's better to hope for that, or to assume it won't happen and try to forget about it for the next week, though.

I join the boat of having checked this thread and my email multiple times already this morning...I don't have the excuse of having a day off though, oops! I should probably get back to trying to concentrate on work...for ten minutes until I need to check my email again. I really, really hope to hear from Laurier today! *crosses fingers, knocks on wood*

Interesting to see whether people plan to work or not - I know that I should, financially and to help my resume, but I'm not sure if I could handle grad school and working without doing a bad job at both. Also: how is this week going so slowly? I'm getting so twitchy, I just want to hear back so that I can start planning what my next year will look like! Has anyone found something that works well to get your mind off of the anxiety?

I thought I remembered that in past years, the link that currently opens to your references changes to something else about a decision being made or registration or something, but a quick search of past threads isn't bringing anything up - does anyone know what changes? Maybe someone who was accepted to the Advanced Standing program could check theirs and tell us what it says now?

So according to the previous threads, it looks like Laurier sent out the first acceptance emails for the 2-year program on March 22nd the past two years...I'm really hoping that means that we'll start hearing news tomorrow! And I recently found out that my job is ending in a few months, so I have no idea what my plan B will be if I don't get in this year. :/

    Looking at the past few years, it seems like Laurier sent out emails for the 2-year program March 20-25ish...so we could hear in 2.5 weeks!

I keep going back and forth on what I think my chances for acceptance are - sometimes I feel like I'm definitely going to get in, I have ok grades and good experience, but then I think of all of the other posters with great grades and experience who didn't get accepted and I don't think I stand a chance! This whole process is making me so anxious! I really hope Laurier stays on the same timeline of past years, and we hear about 2-year admissions the last week of March again this year. That's only three more weeks!

smpalesh, people have also been getting rejections, not just acceptances, through that link; I would guess that the Page Not Found error would mean that they are still updating accounts now, and yours is one of the ones currently being updated with your result - don't lose hope yet!
