Congrats! That's wonderful news. Did you find out via phone or email? I haven't heard anything yet from UCLA's PhD program, so I'm trying to assess the likelihood that I was either rejected or waitlisted. I'm assuming they make decisions for MSW/PhD at the same time as the regular PhD program...

It's tough After emailing Mr. Fooks at UCLA on Tuesday, I'm barely resisting the urge to email the chair to ask for more info. In the meantime I'm just keeping my fingers crossed (for both of us!) and hoping to hear back soon.

I'm applying to the PhD program as well, and have yet to hear anything. After several increasingly desperate calls to Mr. Fooks, I finally emailed him and received a response within literally a few minutes. He said "Decisions are still forthcoming. The admissions process is coming to a close. You will hear soon." Sounds pretty ominous, but at least the window is still open. Best of luck!
