  1. JTMurray, Thanks for the help! The OSAP/UTAPS thoughts are very helpful. Like you, I've got crazy debt already! Thanks again, man, and look forward to seeing you around this autumn. PoP
  2. Hey, JTMurray. Thanks for answering people's questions here. It's very helpful! If you don't mind, I have a funding-related question. (It's sort of a network of questions.) I'm familiar with the standard funding opportunities that the program, university, and government offers. (I have in mind government-funded awards (e.g., CGS - M and OGS), government-funded assistance (e.g., OSAP), entrance scholarships (e.g., $5K, $3K), and UTAPS.) However, I'm wondering whether there are any other funding opportunities that you're aware of. Are there any bursaries/scholarships/etc. that you knew (or wish you knew) about before going into first year? As someone who would certainly benefit from financial assistance, I'm interested in hearing about any additional resourses you might be aware of. Thanks again for your guidance! PoP
  3. Interesting. I have not yet. I wonder if the School of Graduate Studies processes all of applications (i.e., offers, alternates, non-offers) at the same time. Best of luck!
  4. Hello, other CGS hopefuls. I'm wondering: have any U of T applicants had their SSHRC application updated? Thanks very much!
  5. Have any domestic students been awarded more than $5,000?
  6. Congratulations! :-) Did you receive any funding information?
  7. That's awesome -- congratulations! If you don't mind me asking: what was your financial offer like?
  8. It's interesting that, at least in some case, (i) unofficial offers and (ii) financial decisions are going out at different times. IRbuff, you received *both* yesterday, correct? I received an unofficial offer on Friday, but I've yet to hear anything about a financial decision. So weird!
  9. Some offers went out last Friday, for the record. (But you're absolutely right -- there is still plenty of time for offers to be extended.)
  10. Nope. I have not written any standardized tests (GRE, LSAT, etc.).
  11. If you don't mind me asking: who from the Munk School sent the e-mail?
  12. Thanks for the response! I appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking: who from the Munk School sent the e-mail?
  13. Interesting. I was extended an offer last week, but the e-mail indicated that funding decisions would be made in mid-March. Do you know what the award/scholarship/fellowship is? Any other noteworthy information?
