  1. Good luck. I haven't heard back either, but that's life.
  2. Why do they reject is waves? I didn't get an interview at one place and some other people have been rejected before me. I figure if they didn't give me an interview, I am going to get rejected, but why wait to send out the rejections?
  3. If a school can't even give timely rejections it is a pretty big red flag anyway. They can't be that good if they are their admissions process is so sloppy.
  4. Do school ever just not reply? I know the interviewed other people and since I didn't get an interview, I just figured I have been rejected, but other people have already received rejections.
  5. I guess I am going to try again next year. I didn't get any interviews even, just rejections. I will try to get a paper published and go from there.
  6. It's really a lot harder to get into a PhD in finance program than I realized. Maybe if I get a paper or two published, I might be able to get accepted somewhere.
  7. I applied for a PhD in finance from Penn State and haven't heard anything back. The finance program has a very low acceptance rate and I didn't get an interview, so I assume I got rejected.
  8. Doesn't Penn State have spring break now though? Are the profs really making decisions during spring break? Did you get an interview?
  9. I didn't realize how hard it was to get into grad school for finance, but I only applied because I though I had a killer thesis idea. I'm not the typical applicant, so I'd though I'd at least get interviews to explain my idea. I guess I need to write a paper and get it published. I already have a master in finance. So if I can self publish a few papers, can I start applying for teaching/research positions? Maybe getting a phd doesn't make sense for me.
  10. It would be more considerate to reject people earlier when they know that aren't going to accept someone. Sometimes you have to email the university and they will tell you, you were rejected. It can't be that hard to send out rejections once a week or something like that.
