  1. @Anmsteffen - Congrats!!! I was accepted too!!! Are you going to attend?? I accepted my offer. I am so excited!!!
  2. I didn't know about Tennessee State! I am going to look into it. Thanks
  3. HI Everyone... Who is applying for Spring 2016? and Where? I am applying for CSUN Online Cohort 17 and ENMU! I need to apply to online programs - single mama here... Anyone know of any other online programs that accept for spring??
  4. Well I got my last rejection so I am moving ahead with Spring applications. It hit me really hard but tomorrow I am setting out to start getting ready to apply! I won't give up!!! My GPA will bever be higher than it is now but I will work on improving my SOP! Wishing everyone who is applying for spring the best of luck!
  5. HI SouthernSLP, I am in a similiar situation. My overall GPA is pretty low as well due to being academically disqualified my freshman year almost 20 years ago. I hate that my past haunts me this way. This was my second year applying and I only received one waitlist. The rest were rejections. I know how it feels. I also struggle with the GRE however my score improved when I used Magoosh. I am not sure what schools you applied to or will apply to in the future but for me some of the schools looked at all volunteer experience I had. I volunteered with a lot of different children's organizations in my area because I know that I want my focus to be with children. I also volunteered at a senior living home and at a speech clinic. Maybe diversifying yourself will help. I have already started looking into spring applications and how I can improve my application. I took a different approach on my SOP this time from last time and will change it up again. I feel your disappointment. However I know that we both can do it!
  6. I am waitlisted at Idaho State. My first choice too. I knew the other schools were kind of a gamble. I am trying to remain hopeful!
  7. I have been waitlisted too and every time I see an email come through on my phone my heart drops when it isn't from the school. I know that it may be a day or two until the next round of admissions go out but I am also going crazy. I wish you all the best of luck!!!
  8. Brought a tear to my when I read "do not let graduate committee decisions define your worth." As a second year applicant I have second guessed myself many times in this process. I wish you nothing but the best. I am so happy that you got into your dream school. I am waitlisted at my first choice. You have brought me new hope!!!! :)
  9. I had a friend who took her pre-req post bacc classes at two different schools and it worked out fine for her. What my advice would be though is look at the schools you want to apply to and make sure that you are taking the classes that they require. I am currently finishing up my post bacc online through Eastern New Mexico universtiy and when I went to apply for grad schools I found out that one of the schools I really wanted to apply for had more pre-reqs than ENMU offered. I wish I had known this earlier because I would have taken that class at another school. I wish you well on this journey into grad school.
  10. Look at Eastern New Mexico University. I am taking a physics class with lab online through them. If they have a physics class I am sure they have a bio class.
  11. I am waitlisted at one school with 5 other rejections and will DEFINITELY be applying again. I was thinking of going into something else BUT decided that I didn't want to give up on my dream. So if I don't get accepted off the waitlist I will be applying. I have already started looking into other programs. I am a bit limited in the fact that I can't move (single mama - need my support system). I am happy to know that I am not the only one in this situation! We will get in! :)
  12. I saw that people were posting that they were accepted so I emailed Lexie to ask her if the decisions were sent out for all the programs or just for on campus. When she replied she told me that I was waitlisted. I also received a general email stating that the first round of admissions had gone out and that we would be hearing more by the 15th. The admission offers went out around the first by email. The rest of us will be receiving a letter in the mail. It is my first choice school so I am hoping to get in off the waitlist.
  13. I went to 5th grade in Pocatello and as a child I loved it. I had family who lived there. It is cold in the winter though. I also applied to Idaho State, the online program though. I was waitlisted. Hoping to get in though. It is my first choice school. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
  14. It is making me crazy as well. I am a second year applicant and last year I heard on April 11th via email that I wasn't accepted. So it should be soon.
