  1. Well when i said 90k I will admit I was aiming a little high. I am currently attempting for a couple scholarships..plus my program said they would talk work study during orientation (which in their handbook states if granted, you can become considered and in-state student which would be a HUGE savings!) so I'm really hoping for that.. ill check out the book you mentioned
  2. Am I alone in feeling this? I know graduate education is really one of the best investments for the future. That said, it scares me. After completing my masters in speech from Arizona State University I project I will be in about 90,000 dollars worth of student loan debt. This would be graduate plus some lingering undergrad loans.. I don't know. I am certain this is the field I want to be a part of. Im also somewhat comforted in the fact that speech pathology as a whole is a promising field to jump into. But I can't shake it. Maybe its just new territory, and soon i will be a struggling grad student totally ok with whats ahead any thoughts?
  3. Kperry my asu page only recently changed. there is a fb page "fall 2015 asu speech pathology"
  4. I appreciate both of your responses! I thinn you each raised some really great points. I spent the weekend really scoping my options and speaking to students. I'm happy to say I've chosen ASU. MGH is no doubt wonderful program, but with each of these schools being rated right around the 20th place marker in the US I don't think either is a bad call! I'm from Portland Maine so obviously boston is close and something I'm familiar with,AZ will be a huge change but one I'm excited for! Ive heard the facilities are awesome and the students seem incredibly positive. thanks again guys!
  5. Obviously this question is my own personal conundrum! but i would love any feedback--im so torn! MGH is a wonderful program..endless people attest to this..however, it comes with one of the largest price tags >80k without even considering the living expenses of boston.. ASU is equally great. However, may not have quite the hospital connections that MGH would have. But the upside! ASU would be about 30k less than MGH. and the overall expense of living in AZ is cheaper.. ahhh decisions are not my friend! especially between two great options. Id love any input! thanks guys
  6. thank you! I don't know why I found it confusing..I guess because on that tuition calculator I didn't think it was counting summer courses..
  7. does anyone have any idea the general price for tuition for this program?
  8. I was waitlisted at MGH and ASU...really just praying theres a chance. anyone have any insight?
  9. is the deadline april 15th here too? just wondering about waitlist..
  10. does anyone know if ASU gives any info on where people stand on the waitlist..I know some schools do and others don't appreciate even the question. I feel like a pain but this waiting game is awful. thanks for any help!
  11. awesome! must be a great feeling ☺️ congrats!
  12. pfeifferl11 if you don't mind me asking..which program? and congrats to you! I'm waiting on two waitlists
  13. pbschutte...when you say they accepted 65 are you including the waitlisters in that?
