  1. Hello all, Kind of a random question but: Is it possible (and allowed) to work on a Master's degree from one university and work on a graduate certificate from another university at the same time?
  2. I'm in a similar nervous break down mode right now, for various reasons... though I have been accepted at all the schools I applied, I cannot go without funding and have heard no word about funding. But you know what? It's not all for nothing, and we're going to get where we want and need in life because we won't give up right? If its not this year, it'll be next year, or the year after that. Whenever the Universe is ready for us. Don't lose heart, or think that you're destined for something less. Find your faults, fix them, and apply again. You'll get in, because you want this. And the Universe rewards people who do not give up.
  3. I'm in a similar situation and I'm thinking that may be what I'll have to do because I haven't gotten a response from elsewhere other than they're giving decisions in April. :/
  4. I'm kinda in the same boat with my Master's Emma... I posted about it over in "The Bank" and got a few answers. Maybe it'll help you. I'm still confused and worried about what to do as well.
  5. Thanks everyone... I'm still trying to figure out what to do. If anyone else has any suggestions, I'm still open to hearing them. I have tentatively reached out to the program director at my top school with an email today about getting offers elsewhere, but I haven't heard back.
  6. So I've been accepted at all five schools I've applied to: University of Madison Wisconsin, Illinois Urbana Champaign, IU Bloomington, Louisiana State, and Syracuse University. I was told by most there won't be funding decisions until beginning to mid-April, yet a few days ago I got an unexpected offer from LSU for a graduate assistantship position with full tuition waiver, $12,000 a year stipend, and health insurance. And, they are asking for a decision by March 25th.... meaning I need to tell them before I even know my other funding decisions. Problem is... I don't want to go to LSU like I want to go to Illinois or Syracuse. They are better ranked by far, and the classes are more interesting and appealing to me. But at the same time, I am scared not to accept in case it's my best or only offer. My question basically is this: What happens if I accept the position, sign the contract, then decide I don't want to enroll at that school and will enroll in another one? Does anyone have experience with this, or know in general? Not sure what to do!!
