I would do some research on what the grad schools are needing for their prerequisites. I did take the 1 year certificate at Brock because my undergrad is in an unrelated field. It definitely helped me aquire most of the prerequisites; however I was still missing one for U of Alberta (which I could take online through Athabasca U) and I didn't have all the prerequisites for UBC.

Just received my official rejection letter from U of Alberta and am officially accepting at Wayne State University.

Hey nins! I know it doesn't feel good to work so hard and not get in! The competition is so incredibly fierce for this program and is only made worse by the limited number of schools in Canada. I am from Northern Ontario so I had to relocate a good distance no matter what school I applied. I was declined admission to Western, and it is not official but I am assuming U of A is not happening either...but I actually got in to Wayne State in Detroit and was interviewed for a University in Buffalo. From my research Wayne Sate offers in-state tuition to those living in Ontario, and I plan on living in Windsor while I attend. My heart was set on Western, however there are way more schools in the states if that's a route you can see yourself taking. Good luck and KCCO!

Hey thanks for the info Jillybean! I have not received a waitlist email so I'm still a bit discouraged .. However that could be good news for those people on the waitlist! Thanks for sharing !

I agree! This is my first year applying to Alberta. I want to keep hopeful but with others posting that they have been wait listed it makes me think they have their perspective candidates. Again, I'm not sure, just trying to apply logic to get some closure lol! Been checking my email and bear tracks every 5 mins!

Similar to Soleil91 I have been reading these posts for a while. I had to make an account to get people's opinion about U of A. My theory is that if they have sent their offers plus sent out waitlist notifications, it must mean if I haven't heard anything by now, I probably won't be getting an acceptance or waitlist email. I know they are probably bombarded with emails and questions so I don't care to bother them. Anyone have any opinions on this? Crossing my fingers for Western
