Anyone have any experience with the postgraduate diploma in theology at Oxford? Essentially its a supplement to future study in theology at Oxford for students who's undergraduate degree is not in theology or biblical studies. I intend on applying for it, but can't seem to find much information from real people who have applied or who have attended. Thanks!

Hey Everyone -- I'm interested in doing an MA or MTS in Christian theology, and I am looking at various schools including some in the UK. What's the pulse on UK theology programs? Such as St. Andrews, Oxford, Durham, etc? I have seen various ratings of UK programs -- I am asking more about personal experiences and maybe how a UK program compares to that of a US program, say Duke or Notre Dame. Thanks!

Hey There- I've read from this forum that UK Phd's are somewhat iffy on placement -- especially back in the States. But what is everyone's experience/advice on a terminal MA from the UK? I will definitely need to puruse a terminal MA before applying to a PhD program. Schools such as LSE, Kings College, St. Andrews, etc. Thoughts? FYI -- I am interested in Philosophy of Relgion and/or Philosophy of Science.

Hey There, I'm looking at applying to Notre Dame to study theology this next application cycle. It seem from the statistics that more are accepted into their MDiv than their MTS. In general, it seems their MDiv has slightly lower standards than their MTS. Because of lack of direction in my first couple years of undergrad, my transcripts are not great -- or at least not MTS acceptance great. Is it unheard of to apply to their MDiv, and after a semester switch to their MTS? I'm more interested in working within the Academy than vocational ministry, and think the MTS is probably more geared to that end goal. Thanks for your advice!
