I've seen you post a couple times about GVSU and I see you go there. Can you tell me more about their program? All of your posts have made me want to investigate them more even though I live on the east coast. I'll go anywhere, I just want the degree

Honestly if this is your dream don't give up. You're not alone, I'm in the same boat and my state doesn't offer SLPA either. I'm in the process of contacting all of the schools I applied to to get specific ideas on how I can improve my application to become more competitive. I also plan to hopefully take some classes at one of the schools I want to attend and I plan on meeting with serveral schools in person so they can hopefuly put my face to my application. I know it sucks that we'll have to go through this process again but the best thing we can do if we really want it is be proactive.

yeah I am waitlisted at 2 schools but I called and I'm pretty low on the list. I'm also still waiting on one school but that was a reach. I'm already starting to make a list of new schools and plan out how to become a more competitive applicant. Just sucks to know how much money I keep wasting on all of these fees, not to mention that my loans are starting to need payments.

I can't believe I'm going to have to go through this horrible process again, but I will not give up on my dream. Please tell me I'm not the only one with this experience!

How soon can I ask where I stand on the waitlist? I'm dying to know if I have a chance. The letter said you have to respond in regards to staying on the waitlist by April 8th.

Ugh that's annoying, you think they'd want the money so they'd let you take classes no problem. I just don't know what to do to make myself look like a better applicant. I know I have the passion and the drive but it just doesn't come across on paper.

I'm not sure what I'll do. I will definitly shadow more and branch out in volunteering. I'm a horrible test taker so I know taking the GREs for the 4th time will just be out of the question. My scores aren't the best but after taking them 3 times and only moving up 3 points in quant I feel like it just is what it is. I was also thinking about taking some grad classes as a nonmatriculated student, but honestly I'm not sure how to even start that process.

Does anyone have any idea on how competitive spring admission programs are? I feel like they would accept an even smaller amount of people making it more competitive but I'm not sure on how many people apply for it anyway.
