I deferred my admission to Spring 2016 in May 2015. My POI and the graduate coordinator told me that they will give me a new funding offer letter. I emailed my POI a few days ago asking if I should do anything to prepare myself for upcoming PhD program. But I got no reply as my professor was out of town. Now, I am confused what to do next? Should I email the graduate coordinator asking about the offer letter? Or should I send email to my POI again? I am confused what to write in the email. Can anyone give me any suggestions? What is the deadline for an international student to get funding offer letter for spring semester?

I got RA offer from my POI for fall 2015 but to complete my ongoing M.Sc., I deferred my admission to spring 2016. My professor allowed me to defer. Now, I am confused about how I should keep contact with him. I would appreciate any valuable advice.
