  1. postal mail eh? That will take eons to reach India.. I hope they send an email in addition.. atleast for international applicants
  2. Hahaha.. no idea what they are upto then! This whole admission thing seems a big joke to me now!
  3. SOMEONE say "yes"... please please!

  4. Hey iyy, did you hear anything from UPenn BGS yet? it seems you have got a lot of interview calls and some admits too! congragulations!
  5. I'm an international student, so here goes... 1. I wont have to bear the chilly climate of Boston or the deadly heat of Texas 2. I can stay closer to my family 3. I won't have to experience a culture and lifestyle change 4. My parents can start searching for a groom for me (this is called arranged marriage in India - and that is one thing I definitely dont wanna do!) 5. I could actually get married this year instead of worrying about completing credits! 6. I can do something fun and creative, maybe in the education sector 7. I can start coaching kids on how to apply to US Universities.. hehehehe 8. I can ask my previous employer if they will take me back on the job - which paid me so well and which I left only because I didn't get to use my brains there.
  6. But they say on their site that they dont conduct interviews!
  7. I couldn't wait anymore and emailed the admission office whether they do send out rejection emails... They replied back saying that final decisions will be made in mid-March! So, if you haven't heard from Harvard BBS yet, esp. international students - there is still hope!! We might be on a waitlist or something.
  8. During high school, I wasn't able to choose between astrophysics and fashion designing.. and now I have landed up in biology.. but I am not complaining! Life is queer!

If it can be any help, ask yourself whether you like reading and writing more or doing hands on work more? That will lead you to the answer...

  9. I like this metaphor of David and Goliath! Hope we can hit our dream "Goliaths" soon... I am tried, frustrated, angry at not getting replies by now! February was still hopeful, but march has got the temperature and my BP rising!! People tell me international applicants get replies late.. because of funding issues and stuff.. so I am guessing most people here would be intl applicants? (please say yes, please say yes) To pass my time, to stop checking my mail every 5seconds, to reduce my frustrations and more importantly as a backup, I have now started applying to Europe and Singapore. There are some really good programmes there too guys, which still have deadlines open!
  10. Yeah, i know that.. but shouldn't I have received a rejection email from them? Or is it Harvard policy to notify only accepted students? Anyway, congragulations on being accepted to so many places. Where are planning to join?
