  1. Wow, they called you back? That's very nice of them! I think that a Saturday notification is also possible, if the NDSEG program office receives the list from the DoD late in the work day tomorrow. I hope that won't be the case, but I'm not ruling it out... Anyway, good luck everyone!
  2. I don't think that experience with NREIP would give an applicant any special status, but it certainly provides solid research experience, which can only help in the decision process.
  3. On a more operations level, it seems kind of backwards to allow all applicants to log into the award page and then block access to non-awardees once announcements have been made. I wonder what was their reasoning for doing it this way. If I were in charge of the website, I would have transferred the main login database to the awards login page, but blocked access for everyone. Only after the official awardee list has been made would I change the permissions to allow login access to the winners... Anyway, I'm certainly not an IT admin nor do I do this kind of stuff in my research, so I could just be missing something.

  5. Hey mposa, it's the URL that I got forwarded to after trying to log in. Not sure how to trigger it again and what the heck it's for. I haven't been able to do it again since then.
  6. YEAH! That's what I got on Saturday! But I didn't take a screenshot of it before I refreshed and got "locked out." The page that I got forwarded to after logging in was ndseg.asee.org/award/sessions, but if you go there without logging in, it's a 404 page. It's a little odd because if you type in a random address like ndseg.asee.org/award/test, it's a different 404 page.
  7. I'm making some rather large revisions to a manuscript where I'm just the 2nd author... was waiting for the lead author to finish it up, but it was taking forever for this person to get around to doing it. It's been over a year already! So frustrating!!! Not only would it have helped me in my applications, the significance of the study has decreased as one other group recently reported similar results...
  8. Maybe they want some advanced forum stats... Top 10 Impact Factors bhikhaari 32.143!! up from 30.231 in 2010!newms 16.593kroms 13.298... was 13.111 in 2009!Bukharan 11.391Eigen 9.310...
  9. Why the heck are people voting that post down??
  10. *sigh* I'm not a fan of that possibility either. I hope that we'll hear back by 1pm-ish EDT. Here's to some more hoping!
  11. Here's some more speculation: In 2007, awardees were notified on Monday, April 2, 2007 and requested to respond by Monday, April 9, 2007. In 2009, awardees were notified on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 and requested to respond by Tuesday, April 7th, 2009. Based solely on two data points alone, it seems that people are given one full week to either accept or decline the NDSEG fellowship. This year, according to NeuroJoeBruin's c&p, awardees were requested to respond by Tuesday, April 26, 2011. I wonder if the award emails were actually suppose to go out on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, but someone accidentally sent them on Saturday...
  12. I agree. good summary. I would give you a +1, but I've used up all of my positive votes for the day!
