  1. Thanks so much! I didn't expect it at all... feeling very grateful! ?
  2. Ah, there was actually something wrong with the post in the Scarborough area and the mailman came back to my parents' house to drop the letter off. FINALLY got it! Received SSHRC-D with 19.8/20 - direct applicant doing a PhD in the UK; first time applying. Just relieved to not be waiting anymore!
  3. Congrats to everyone! Can't believe the mail has come and gone in Scarborough and still nothing. UGH. So frustrating.
  4. Congrats to everyone! I must be the only person here that hasn't received the letter yet (in Toronto - East York/Scarborough area). Sigh...
  5. Congrats - that's still a very impressive score! Also, glad to hear the mail is very(!) slowly making its way to the GTA...
  6. Also a direct applicant (doing a PhD in the UK) with a Toronto address - my family informed me that they still haven't received anything. Ugh. I didn't realize Canada Post took SO long to reach Toronto from Ottawa... it's been 3 days already... ?
  7. Direct applicant here - also forwarded!
  8. I think I'll wait for now... let's see... Actually, I want it to be sent to my parents' house in Canada - my mailbox situation here isn't great and things always get sent to other homes. Just was wondering if any news would've come by now since the address is in Canada as opposed to abroad... but if you haven't heard anything either, guess we'll just have to keep waiting!
  9. Any direct applicants hear back? I'm a direct applicant studying in the UK. Any mail that comes should be going to my parents' (my permanent) address in Canada - still haven't received anything.
  10. Thanks for your response! Hmmm... I agree with what you're saying, especially considering NETI suggests the start date is January. I actually did some random online searching (and not to sound super creepy!) - I looked up some of the LinkedIn profiles of current/former NETI participants, and a lot of their "start dates" for the NETI program in their respective countries seems to be around March/April, so perhaps the recruitment process is much longer than we expect it to be? That said, it could really mean anything - that successful applicants have already been shortlisted by now, and because the selection process is SO lengthy, by the time they get through them all, participants start by March (assuming a Nov-Mar timeline). Sigh.
  11. Glad to see more people here! Just out of curiosity, which positions did you all apply for?
  12. Hello - glad to finally see someone ask about this on the internet. I'm still waiting to hear from them. Any news on your end? I keep refreshing my application page and it still says "In Process". What about you?
  13. Thanks for letting me know, Skip. I think I'm just going to go for it and take a chance. Just spoke to one of my mentors, and he thinks I have a great shot even though it's a bit late in the game. Doesn't hurt to try!
  14. Anybody know what the probability is of getting accepted to NPSIA at Carleton if I were to apply now - during the second round offers? The website states the deadline is August 31, and consideration is subject to available space (after the first round). I emailed the school, but if anyone has a general sense of whether or not it's worth a shot to apply within the next two weeks, do let me know. Thanks!
  15. Rejected. Same reason - encouraged to reapply as straight out of undergrad. Sigh... Good luck to all those who are waiting!
