  1. @hawaisi yes! i (and my dissertation committee) am eagerly awaiting something from IIE as well!
  2. I'm a Research finalist for Jordan! I'm glad they finally got those notifications out, the wait was miserable.
  3. I obviously don't know the official answer to this, but my on campus fulbright contact told me that the medical forms were primarily just to assess that you were physically capable of doing the work / grant. It would be terribly inappropriate if anyone were to disqualify a candidate because of something like that in their medical history. Also, it was quite a long time ago at this point, so I would imagine you're fine.
  4. Hey all. I pop on here from time to time (right now because I'm one of the many people waiting for Fulbright finalist notifications), and I saw some people on the results page who got admitted to the joint Anthropology & Linguistics PhD at the University of Arizona. Congrats! I'm in that program right now. If you have questions or want to say hello, feel free to reach out. Hopefully we'll see you at the prospective student weekend!

  6. Hi all, Semi-finalist for the Jordan program for Research/Study. Congrats to all the other folks who made it to the semi-final stage, and like a number of other people have mentioned on here, not getting an award isn't a negative reflection on any of us/our success/our work!
  7. Hey y'all, I noticed a few acceptances at Arizona on the results page. Congrats! Hopefully we'll see you at the visit weekend!

So it looks like we've only got one NZ acceptance that has posted on this thread? I'm still waiting to hear back on mine, just curious if anyone else heard about NZ last week.

I'm waiting on NZ as well, haven't seen anything go out on here about it yet though :/
  11. The hike is usually pretty tame! We don't want to wear any of you out, just show you how beautiful this part of Arizona is!
  12. Hi! I'm honestly not sure. They don't really let us know much until they give the grad student organization in the department a list of people who are coming to prospective student weekend, because the grad students largely organize the logistics of the visit weekend. All I can really say about ANLI admissions is that it does have to go through two different departments admissions committees, so it could take longer, but I really don't know. Hopefully you get positive results though!
  13. Hey y'all, I saw some acceptances to U Arizona linguistics on the results page. Just wanted to say congrats from someone who is currently in that department! Hopefully we'll see you all at the visit weekend!
  14. No problem! As someone who is in the thick of this program, I just want to say it is a really great department and it's an incredibly comfortable and welcoming group of people to work with every day. So, best of luck in the application process!
  15. I'm not totally sure about what they work on but the University of Oslo might be a good option? It's at least worth looking into.
