About Me

Hi everybody!

I currently have an MTS in Biblical Studies from Notre Dame. I did my undergrad at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia (about 20 minutes from where I'm from in South Jersey) studying Theology with minors in Classics and Ancient Studies. In reality my background could better be called one of ancient history and literature, focusing on ancient religion. I've done very little "Theology" proper (Systematics), at least for someone with two theology degrees.

I am hoping to get a PhD in Ancient Near East Studies, concentrating on the Hebrew Bible in its Ancient Near Eastern context. I am especially interested in the diachronic development of creation traditions across the Ancient world, especially in Egypt and Mesopotamia, comparative ANE panthea, and the virgin goddesses and their roles (especially the Levantine/Egyptian goddess Anat).
