Feeling a bit burnt from a year of coursework. Hoping that a summer internship will rekindle my love of public art education.

About Me
To make a four-year-long story short...in 2009 I graduated with a BA in History and Medieval Studies. I blindly applied to six schools and got into one MA program in Medieval Studies. I attended and completed the MA, but during my course of studies I realized that I prefer art history to history. I applied to PhD programs in art history and was rejected from seven schools.
I was depressed and miserable, and unemployed too. But the question I had been asking myself, "Can I survive outside of graduate school?", was answered for me. I took up archaeology, became an ambulance driver and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), enrolled in some non-medieval courses at the community college, and interned at the State Museum in the educational department. I also moved in with, and became engaged to, my boyfriend of five years, and embarked on an incredible spiritual journey.
So I'm still here, and it's on to round three.
Update: Unalloyed success! I have been accepted to my top choice with a prestigious, full fellowship. This fall I will be attending Tyler School of Art at Temple University with Dr. Elizabeth Bolman as my adviser.
