  1. Hi. Can anyone see their acceptance letter on the web portal? I never received the email for the decision but received the email for the McCourt Felowship shortlist. When I log in, my acceptance letter is still not there. Read through the previous comments of some people having the same problem. So wanted to ask again. Also, wondering if I have been accepted or not. Wrote to the admissions team who haven't replied yet.
  2. Looking to do largely MPP/MPA. Applied to MPA at Princeton, MPP at Georgetown and MPA-ID at Harvard. I am from India, so applied to an Asian school as well... LKY at NUS. Was wondering if all the results of Georgetown are out. Apparently, their results stated from the first week of Feb.
  3. Hey there! Although I have applied but not very sure of getting through this year. Below is my profile. Would love to hear your comments. Looking at HKS, WWS, Georgetown (I know!) GPA really low: 2.4 (Bachelors in Mathematics) - University of Delhi, did a one year academic fellowship program - 3.4/4 (Its not a degree program. So don't know how much will the academic performance count here) Years of Work ex - Three and a half (Worked in a think tank for 6 months. Worked with an NGO in an urban slum to set up digital learning centers for 8 months, Worked with a state government for two years - one year in rural areas and the second in the office of the Additional Chief Secretary) Recos: Pretty good GRE: 329 - Quant 165, Verbal 164 TOEFL: 109 No international experience. I am really concerned about by bad academic scores though I have good leadership experience at all levels. Please advise! Thanks
  4. @Pavlik would you know till when the results come out and if the university sends emails to people not accepted? I met the Jan 15 deadline but haven't heard from the university yet.
  5. So I graduated in Mathematics from University of Delhi, India and am a fellow at Young India Fellowship. I have worked with a couple of think tanks and would like to work in the social sector, which is why I was considering MPP. Problem is I have really low scores in my undergraduate program, though my grades in the fellowship program are way better. So I have the following questions: 1) Would my grades in the fellowship program be considered before my undergraduate scores? If not, how much could the work experience and my GRE scores compensate for them? 2) Is MPP the best program for me? Or Should I be looking at programs like Economics, Sociology or Political Science? In that case, how would my work experience and grades play out? 3) How important is a PhD in public policy? If I am not wrong, not many people go for it. And how would that compare with a PhD in other three subjects that I mentioned? 4) Finally, what could be the expected salary that I might take away after an MPP?
