Not selected ETA Turkey. Thank goodness I choose a job over the Fulbright. Well, it was a great learning experience and I am truly happy for those who were chosen.

Congrats to everyone who heard good news from the Caribbean and I'm truly sorry to all those who were rejected or designated as alternates.

And then there was Turkey (cricket, cricket)

Agree with the person who said that if they had known it took so long for Turkey to process our application they would have applied to a different ETA program. This thought has crossed my mind a thousand times!!

whaaaaat? congratulations! I definitely see how this was a tough decision, but I don't think you're giving up! If you think it was best it's probably a really really good decision. Sorry I dont have much advice lol... I accepted my teach for america offer but I will definitely defer it if I get the Fulbright. Good luck with your new job though :D

Thanks oa0176! Maybe I am look for consolation more than advice. I really wanted to go Turkey and I also was looking forward being part of the Fulbright community. In any case, I think I did make the right choice since I have also been working towards a job with the Park Service for many years.

Hi everyone:

I just accepted a job offer with the National Park Service today. It literally was one of the hardest choices of my life. Since I have put so much time and effort into the application and into this forum I feel almost like I am giving up. I wish there was a way to able do both, but I know that's not possible. So, I decided to choose a paying job over the Fulbright. I hope I made the right decision. If anyone has some words of advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
