For the spreadsheet: Fulbright to Turkey (ETA) Awarded by Rachel 11:15 today. !!!

Hey mrog1016! Thanks for the update earlier, thats awesome you have a friend over there with some insight... Not that it has helped my anxiousness at all lol Did your friend seem to have pretty solid information about whats happening in the selection process right now? The Fulbright people in Ankara said last week that we should hear within a week or two... so that would match up pretty well with what your friend thinks! I just keep thinking about what Rachel said though, which was that we wouldnt hear til at least May. Ughhhh!! Anyone want to contact Rachel and see if she has 'reevaluated' her 1-2 month estimation?? Keep pluggin' along everyone, we will be our of our misery soon! Inshallah!

Hello all you lovely Fulbrighters and future Fulbrighters, Long time lurker, first time poster here and I break my silence because I come bearing news for all you Turkey ETA people out there. Another Fulbright finalist and myself got in contact with Rachel the other day and she told us notifications would probably be sent out in.... wait for it.... 1-2 months (yes, months! and yes, we almost fainted as well). Feeling utterly depressed we decided to contact the Fulbright people in Ankara. The women in Ankara told us that they have not yet finished the selection process, but that they hope to finish it very soon. Once they finish, their decisions must then travel through the bureaucratic channels of the Turkish education system and then, finally, we will be notified. But dont despair just yet, at the end she told us that they hoped this process would only take 1-2 more weeks! So, long story short... it could be anywhere between 1 week and 2 months! lol But, I think it will be more around the 1-2 week timeframe (or at least my sanity hopes so). Cheers!
