  1. Have you checked your spam? It's possible you haven't been admitted in the first round but that you are still being kept in consideration for future rounds. I'm just speculating. To everyone: Is it possible to change your cluster choice after admission?
  2. cherry bomb
  3. I was told GSPIA results would go out in April. Regarding NPSIA, a friend who was wait-listed for the MA last year was not informed of the status until May. I don't know how many rounds of admission they go through but it seems they will admit people off the wait list right up until the bitter end. This same person finally got an offer of admission in August.
  4. I thought maybe the admissions decisions for those who applied to the joint program are on a different timeline. Here's hoping you get the email soon.
  5. rmrda, is your NPSIA admission dependant on your U of O law school admission?
  6. Further complicating matters is that my school doesn't even have a standard percentage grade to letter grade conversion scheme (it's specific to each academic department).
  7. Does anyone have a good resource for Canadian GPA conversion? My undergrad school is on a 4.3 scale and I'd like to know how the schools I'm applying to do the conversion.
  8. It took me about 6.5 years. I worked full time pretty much the whole time and took anywhere from one to four classes at a time, depending on the session (I sped up near the end because I was getting fed up). It also took me longer because I had a 30-credit minor in addition to my major concentration.
  9. That sentiment about sums it up for me right now.

  11. 31! You'll practically have one foot in the grave at that point.
  12. Another torturous weekend, then. At least there will be green beer and parades to serve as distraction.
  13. Thanks dude!
  14. I feel silly asking this, but is there anywhere online I can check my ogs status? I applied at the very last minute directly to Carleton. I heard very late in the application process that Carleton had extended the application deadline to Feb.1, and I don't really understand how it works.
  15. In the opening sequence of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, when he's sitting in the spinning throne, the graffiti behind him says THUNDER CHUNKY. My avatar is a super adorable mangalitsa - a curly haired hog!

  17. Hi Skip!
  18. Didn't they give you a deadline by which you need to accept?
  19. I would assume that's good!
  20. I figured as much.
  21. I definitely plan on doing the coop if I can. I need the experience and I'm sure I'll need the money.
  22. I applied to University of Ottawa's MA in Public and International Affairs as well. I think I would prefer NPSIA for its cluster choices, the option to do a thesis, and the school's international reputation. However, the program at U of O looks interesting as well. One advantage there is that it's a bilingual program. Also you can do an international exchange within the program, which is an appealing prospect. What cluster did you choose for NPSIA? I chose (1) Global Political Economy, (2) International Trade Policy, (3) International Institutions and Global Governance.
  23. Also, does anyone know any admission stats for the MA? How many people apply and what percentage get admitted, etc?
  24. What other programs did you apply to?
