It's my second year applying for advanced standing MSW. I graduated with my BSW in June 2013 and began working as a program assistant in a seniors community health agency immediately after graduating. At this point, I have almost a year of work experience, my placement experience, and various volunteer opportunities that I took part in throughout university. Last year when I applied I was rejected; this year I re-applied and have so far been rejected at Waterloo, wait listed (again) at U of T. Now I'm waiting on York, but seeing as how people have gotten responses, it's pretty safe to assume I've been rejected. At this point, I think I'm going to give up on applying for a few years and try again then.

I'm a little hesitant to call because they may get frustrated with me for contacting them about it. I emailed the MSW department this week (not the first time) and they never bother to respond...this is really starting to remind me of York's admin problems, and its really turning me off from the school. If a school like UofT can process applications faster than Ryerson, there's a problem!

Yes, I got this email too. Sadly, it doesn't mean you were accepted, it goes out to all applicants. But if you have yet to get in, I wish you all the best! Don't lose hope just yet
