grad-ed reacted to grad-ed in Stanford University Economics of Education (SHIPS) PhD
Hi,
I am on the wait list of the Stanford University (SHIPS) Economics of Education PhD for Fall 2013. It seems they have a rather strange system of wait list. Each Professor has a list of students he/she wants to admit and then a wait list. I was wondering if anyone admitted with Professor Sean Reardon was planning on taking some other option they might have. I have written to the School but they say they won't be able to tell before April 15. I have to respond to my Duke offer by April 5. Any leads on this would be a great help since Stanford is my first choice! Thanks!

grad-ed reacted to PY225 in SUSE Fall 2013
I received an email informing me that I am currently on a short list of alternates for the doctoral program in SHIPS. Anyone else in the same boat??? And does anyone know the chances of getting admitted from the waiting list at SUSE?

I got the same wait list email for SHIPS. I have no idea what my chances are of getting in. You heard anything after that?
