I'm just going to be blunt with you. If that's a priority, even a low ranking one, you should reconsider graduate school. School should be about improving yourself. While you will meet new people and form new connections, you should not be jumping into any romantic conclusions. If it does happen for you, then great! But don't be actively seeking it. If you're in a program to manhunt, I'm sorry but your spot in that program should go to someone else.

I'm more of a beer person. Because I'm applying specifically in MO, I've been drinking exclusively Schafly (local St. Louis brew) for good mojo. Unfortunately, I don't know how to pronounce it.

Ahh I'm sorry dude I applied to 19 (yeah I know lol) schools and have heard literally NOTHING from any of them. It's gotten to the point that I assumed my email was broken or something lol so I was at least happy to see some movement, even if it's a rejection.

First off there really is no such thing as a "safety school" in graduate school. I have no idea of your background or why you think UM is a safety school. If you went to Michigan that may be why you got rejected, since schools like to diversify a bit. I would recommend you focus on your one interview than starting to care about rejections. All you need is one interview, one school, you can't go to them all.
