I'm doing this too!

Travelling! Backpacking around Europe for 2 months. We worked hard to get acceptances, and are going to work even harder once we begin our programs  

A potential PI just emailed me congratulating me on getting admitted into Stanford Bio, but I haven't actually heard back yet!

I got accepted to Stanford for Genetics!! I thought for sure after the interview that I didn't stand a chance. Best day ever!

Waiting to hear back post interview is driving me nuts!!!   The fact that everyone in my lab keeps asking me if I've gotten accepted doesn't help either.
In other news, my step-mom apparently told all her friends and family I'm going to be a medical doctor.......
Just rambling in hopes of keeping my fingers from pressing refresh on my email......

Accepted to Duke MGM program!!  Still waiting to hear back from UNC BBSP, but I know they have more interview weekends coming up.  I'm hoping to hear by next week.

Definitely a huge relief, as this ended up being the only school I got an interview for. 
Was definitely thinking that things were really bleak a while ago but now that's all changed!

Just got a call from a professor at UCSF that I got into Tetrad  

From what I heard so far it is only for people from Cancer and Neuro cohorts that the feedback has been given. I hope they send feedback for micro soon! Sinai is my first choice <3. Congrats to everyone who got in to the places that they want. And for the rest I hope everything works out well!

Accepted to Einstein! Haven't received official email from the school, but received personal calls and emails from multiple professors. They wanted to let me know in advance. So excited

This is more than grad school acceptance for me as an international student  This is like I CAN STAY IN THE US CARD! 

I got an acceptance email from Mount Sinai yesterday. Personal email from Cancer MTA co-director this morning. 
Also got a call from Emory yesterday. It's been a good week so far.

I just called. All I was told by Dr. O'Connell is that they started yesterday afternoon. He says, "it takes a while to send all those emails out. We are currently working on it."

I didn't hear back from them too! I remember that they said the results will be sent out "as early as" today. I hope they send out tmr  

Don't worry too much about the PIs research you're interviewing with. Know your stuff! they will ask you to go on and on about your research without asking detailed questions and it will look bad if you don't have a like a prepared speech that is at least 3-5 minutes long. 
Be comfortable, be yourself and don't be afraid to ask questions. You're not the only one being interviewed. You are also interviewing the PI and the school and making sure it's the right fit for you. So don't be afraid to ask like oh is this project available or are you recruiting graduate students right now or how often do you have lab meetings etc. It looks good to be interested in the details of how the lab functions and they want to make sure that it's a right fit for you.

My research mentor called the director and the director emailed the lecturer, asking him to consider adjustments. The director called what the instructor has done as unreasonable and said the faculty should not hinder students' success. Don't know if this will irritate the instructor and exacerbate the tense...

I don't really think it's worth your time and advise against it. Professors are already super busy and they would have to invest time on a student who might not make it through the admissions process, or might not attend the school. They might not even be in the adcom, so it would be out of their power. I would wait until you're invited to interview to email them and tell them you'd like to talk to them.
