  1. Looking to cut my losses to some programs. I've been looking under my major at the gradcafe-->survey, and it seems like a lot of the schools that I have applied to, I haven't heard back from. Which makes me incredibly anxious, even though I already got into a grad school. At what point in time can I start cutting my losses? I was thinking mid february or even late january that, if I didnt hear back from a university by now, I wouldn't hear back from them with an acceptance. I feel like you guys will tell me to just wait it out, that theres a chance I can get in late march, maybe. But really, I just want to have a couple solid programs to choose from, and its not use for me to hope that I'll get into some place when the likelihood is that I won't, based on the fact that they already accepted a few people, based on gradcafe, which is probably a small sample.
  2. The only inappropriate behavior I can think of is having too much to drink, but thats not even a concern at all. And I haven't really had any of my OWN research projects, but if someone asks I can tell them what I have been doing pretty easily.. I just hope I have nothing to worry about. I applied to 9, got into 1 so far...
  3. I'm guessing that's an informal admission. What I want to know, is what could happen over visitation weekend that can possibly make me not get a formal admission?
  4. They said: Formal notifications of admission will be sent directly from the admissions office after your visitation weekend.
  5. What exactly does this imply? None of my friends or grad students who I have asked, have heard about this.
