Also I'm not sure if this means anything in either direction, but I was a finalist for a Jordan ETA last year and I just searched my email... I'm like 85% sure I didn't get a "save the date" last year... Does this bode well? Will we receive notifications at 9pm EST again? Who know. CONSPIRACIES.

Did any of you just receive an email from Fulbright about saving the date for pre-departure orientation? I'm sure they send them out to all recommended applicants, but I figured it was worth checking on.
Also, so not cool for Fulbright to be sending out emails at this point that aren't decisions (do they want me to die an early death?)

I think of waiting for Fulbright notifications kind of like freezing to death on a mountain. In the first couple weeks it was so painful and anxiety-inducing, like the frostbite setting in to my toes and my muscles cramping from the cold. But now it has me at a point where I am numb and just want to go to sleep and die. That is my relationship with this fellowship currently.

I've been lurking on this forum, and just found out I won a research Fulbright to Israel. I had transcript issues that delayed my notification. Good luck to everyone still waiting, and thanks to those of you who kept things updated as we collectively tried not to develop an ulcer.

Got accepted for Israel research today, cancer therapeutics! Super pumped

Often times, for people who have applied to multiple programs, they receive a time-sensitive offer for another program before they hear if they are accepted at all into the Fulbright. So they sometimes go with the certain offer rather than the uncertain, future offer from Fulbright, thus leading them to withdraw later when they receive an acceptance notification. So, basically, there is hope.

This is my worst fear. I neurotically check my spam folder, too! Haha. Damn algorithms didn't do their job right!
