  1. Hey does anyone know if there is a pre req online program that allows you to take courses in the summer / late summer.. One that hasn't started yet lol. If so let me know. Also anyone have any experience with la salles online pre req program?

  2. Uh it depends on where you're from, my paperwork went to the department of health , and I took the test at home ! And the pay rate in the dmv area is prettttty good. It all depends on your experience though. I've been at my company for 2 years , it's a small clinic but they get a lot of business so they treat me realllllly well.

  3. I've been an slpa for about 10 months, I'm  in Maryland so idk of it works the same in other states. First, I had a bachelors in csd so I didn't need the required coursework, I also had my 25 observation hours( required for grad school and to be an slpa) then you need 75 hours of direct supervision ( hands on and just observing)  then you send in allllll the paperwork, take a test and then if everything is good, you'll get a limited license where you can practice under whoever supervises you, after the limited license you have 9 months until you get a full license where you can work wherever you want!

gah a rejection i actually cared about -_- MGH

someone posted as waitlisted with lower stats than mine.. that bugs me

It's not all about stats. They probably had more experience / better LOR's / statement of purpose. People who think they deserve acceptance to programs because of "better stats " ? Now that's what "bugs me" . Stats don't tell you how good you'll be in a certain career. Just sayin. ?

  5. hey guys!

i am 23 and graduated from psu in spring of 2014. I was rejected the first year I applied to slp grad school but it worked out for me..

    i have a 2.86

    i got a 150 verbal,150 math and 4 on my GRE's.

i am taking my chem class (Asha now requires a physical science before admitted to grad school/during) now and will earn an A for sure,I am also taking ASL and will earn an A in that also.

i have a lot of experience now, I am ABA CERTIFIED, worked as an SLPa for 10 months now . Before I interned at a Clinic which has SLP and OT services, most of there clientele were kids on the spectrum, now I have 11 kids on my caseload, and I run a social thinking group, and just started my own vocational ground for the older kids with autism to work on everyday skills(cooking cleaning hygiene) ! I also attended many workshops including visualizing verbalizing, talkies, and talk tools which helps a lot with my clients now. Also CPI CERTIFIED And have a lot of experience (mostly with autism) and I love what I do! Every second if it. Who thinks I can apply now/ can get into a program? I'm looking for schools who have a holistic application process which means they look at everything as a whole and doesn't throw out your application if your GPA or GRE scores aren't good enough. Anyone? Help me find some schools! Thanks guys!
