Just curious when you had this conversation? Some of us are still waiting to hear from NPSIA, but it sounds like you are saying they are full.

Hi no I'm not saying they're full, period. I'm saying they don't have space for me specifically. They didn't decline me outright (even though that's what it is, it is a rejection from NPSIA for me), they didn't put me on a waitlist either. They simply redirected my application to their MBA program with my consent. I don't know if that means there's space for others on the wailtist or not. (My Carleton Central status is still recommended for assessment though)

I show the same thing, but did not hear that I was waitlisted. I keep telling myself I will call. My only consolation is that in past year's threads it shows that this same thing happened to people and they later received offers.

Funny enough, I didn't get waitlisted at NPSIA. Instead, I got an email offering to forward my application package to their MBA program (when I called them all confused, Tabbatha confirmed that NPSIA didn't have space for me). I said sure, forward my file to an MBA program, but I think it's safe for me to conclude that Carleton is not in my cards right now.

Waiting on GSPIA, which has said it will have decisions out mid-May.

Cool! I am so confused as to what to do with my life now.... I am considering all kinds of options. But I guess there's no rush (especially since this year I am finishing a four year BA after only 3 years).

Omg take it easssssy :D you'll be fine. Don't stress out about not knowing what to do. That's normal. Take your time figuring it out, read about the fields you might be interested in, etc. Life has a way of working out.

Thank you very much! Congratulations on your offer, at least now you can relax a bit :). I guess I can check those out, I wish I had applied for other programs in this field, but I thought since my undergraduate major is unrelated, I wouldn't have a high chance anyways.

Yoooooo we're in the same boat. You are basically me circa 2016 :P

Check out the rolling deadlines for some places. Consider doing a graduate certificate as well. I know someone who did Seneca's govt relations cert and then landed a cool job at a not-for-profit, which they started after doing an internship with a Canadian embassy abroad. Then they left the gig to do a NATO-related internship in Europe. Just an anecdote!

Ok, I will just stay on then. I didn't apply to any other programs for international affairs, but I did apply for other masters programs - like Master of Information at U of T.

Sounds like a plan! I wish you the best of luck. I'm on the waitlist for GSPIA so you're not alone in the waiting boat (alrthough I am less nervous because of another offer).

Also, you might want to email Queen's MPA and see if they're accepting applications...I feel like they are. If that's something you're interested in. And I think Dalhousie MPA deadline is still in a few weeks.

Got an email from Munk notifying me I didn't make the cut. But apparently I was admitted to GSPIA. Not sure if I should celebrate... it's so bittersweet.

Same. Got a Munk email today rejecting me. Considering the money McMaster is willing to give me and its healthy property market, I'm going to accept that offer. Haven't heard from NPSIA or GSPIA yet, but I don't want to raise my hopes. The last six weeks have been enough emotional turmoil haha

no one else has even heard from back from gspia yet. it's as if they sent out 2 offers a few weeks ago and then just went on vacation. my application was 'incomplete' from Feb 1st to like 2 days ago. fucking unreal. and then you call them and Daniela picks up the phone and sounds all flustered like your wasting her time and then you call back a month later and they are like oh yah hehe looks like we accidently labelled your letter of intent as a resume hehe so we just ignored your application good thing you called hehe.

    i feel your pain, bruh
