Not sure if this is the right place for this post but here goes...
So by April 15th, and I had not heard from all of the schools I applied to but one of my acceptances was to one of my top choices so I told them of my intent to enroll. Fast forward to now and I recently heard from one of the other schools I was waiting on. They have offered me a 3 year fellowship which includes a stipend and tuition waiver. The first school offered me nothing, but my POI was willing to bring me on as a Research Assistant. 
My dilemma is how to talk to tell School 1 that I no longer plan to enroll? Earlier on my POI and I both had a very candid conversation about the lack of funding at the institution so I know (or least I hope) that she will understand the amazing opportunity that I have been offered. Would it be okay to call her personally and inform her of this? Obviously, I would make my official notice to the program director and school via email, but I feel that it would be respectful to reach out to her personally since she has already done so much to help me and we have a rapport.
Lastly, would it be improper to ask POI if any funding opportunities are on the horizon that would make attending School 1 over School 2 viable? I really like School 1, but I already have debt from my Master's degree so I can't imagine taking on an additional $50K+.
Help! 

I completely forgot about the interview piece. Not looking forward to the cold, but my sister is doing her PhD in clinical psych there so an acceptance would be extra special. I had emailed the program manager at the end of January and she said "I hope to have updates [for you] by the end of February or early March."
It's early March already; put us out of our misery!!!

If you check out the "UC Berkeley Prospective Graduate Students" thread, someone posted that they were accepted to Berkeley's DrPH program. They said they did not have an interview. I also applied and have not heard any news. Good luck to you!

Unfortunately no. They told me I could I contact the Dean of Students (at the time); however, despite several emails she never responded. When I asked who I should reach out to for this application cycle, I was told that she was no longer with the university so I assumed there was no way to get feedback.
Also, got an email today saying that my application was received, is currently being reviewed, and the review time can take up to 4-8 weeks. Did you get one? I already got an email saying my application was received back in December so idk what this is about.  

I had my interview with GW - Health Behavior today and I felt like it went well - my panel was pretty big so those 20 minutes went very quickly. One professor wanted to follow up with me so I'm looking forward to that next step. Overall, GW was very friendly and I'm excited to see where this goes.

Got an email from UGA about an interview on 3/23 in Athens. I'm out of state so they're giving me the option of a phone interview. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I've been obsessively checking the results page and this thread. Finally started hearing back from schools so I decided to share the joyous *insert sarcasm* news.
1. Tulane -rejected 2/10/16
2. GWU -interviewed 1/28/16; rejected 2/15/16
3. Pittsburgh -rejected 2/8/16
4. Texas -rejected 2/20/16
5. Berkeley -anxiously waiting
6. UGA -impatiently waiting
7. Drexel- waiting with bated breath (sis got into the Clinical Psych PhD program-so excited for her!)
8. Columbia-waiting but expecting the big R
9. Harvard- waiting but this was a  long shot to start with
