Around the age of 22 I decided not to follow the "path of least resistance" and shoot for my dreams of being an anthropological archaeologist. My ultimate goal is earning my PhD in the subject, and am well on my way. Some days this whole process feels like I'm running uphill! I stay positive by keeping in shape, keeping my family and fiance close, and not giving up. I honestly think, for me, I would rather look back on my life and see that I at least kept trying and didn't give up, rather than settle for mediocrity.
