No, sorry! Just that I know that at least the graduate students in charge of visiting students have been told, not that the school has sent anything out.

I can feel the anxiety that has been creeping up through all of January reach it's peak today. I know I probably won't receive any results until next week at the earliest but I already have knots in my stomach. This whole process is exciting and terrifying at the same time.
I already received one acceptance (no word on funding yet) which is already better than last year. It has helped to stay more optimistic while waiting for the other results.
    Good luck everyone!!

So the thing I love about this forum is that we are all getting really nervous but are also supportive of eachother

Hopefully! I really just want to know, one way or another.

Yeah, seems like it, I was just sort of hoping they may decide to release decisions earlier this year!

Aah, sorry to hear that, really hoping you'll hear good news from one of you other schools! I have a feeling next week will be a big one in terms of decisions.
Anyway, gonna turn in for the night and indulge in some escapist fiction while trying not to obsess over the fact that I didn't get an email from Harvard.

Thanks for the response! I checked my portal and no update there either. The more I try to understand the process, the more confused I become. I really should stop trying to read into things but, as I'm sure everyone here feels, when this much is on the line it's so hard not to!

@magnegresswrites I registered for the webinar but couldn't attend due to being on a flight. I think it's a recruiting tool for admitting a diverse class. Yale had a recent "image" problem that I think they are grappling with (napping while black...)

I feel the same way! Weekends feel much, MUCH longer than they have any right to and I find myself irrationally annoyed on Friday evenings, knowing it will be another couple of days of radio silence. A pint might be a good distraction.

Hmm, well I'm not a minority candidate so that definitely explains why I didn't get the email.
That being said, I still think it could be a good sign for those of you that did receive it. I mean it seems strange to take the time to organize a webinar for candidates they have zero interest in, perhaps you're on some sort of shortlist? But who knows how these things work. Wishing you the best either way!

Just got word that I got into Duke! It's my first choice, and I'm so incredibly excited!! So if you see that admit on the results page, it's mine.
I'm a bit shy about sharing my focus/POI on here because anonymity etc, but if you've applied to Duke and you're curious, feel free to PM me!

Looks like Johns Hopkins is in the process of sending out some acceptances.
I'm expecting a rejection (I was already thinking that ,and now just noticed a major oops in my statement of purpose), but I think some of you have also applied and I'm rooting for you all!

Just got an email that I was selected to interview with City Year Providence. I'm excited that they want to interview me, but I hate giving legitimacy to the idea that I need a contingency plan.
Anyways, here's hoping that the next two weeks bring us some good news!

MOO, a good rule of thumb for posting anything on an internet bulletin board or social media is to not post anything one would not mind reading on the front page of the New York Times.
And, FWIW, I have learned the hard way that how one thinks and communicates privately about the craft, the profession of academic history, and the Ivory Tower generally shines through much more than one realizes and also in ways one doesn't expect.

Finally, for those who have the sensibilities of the "Millenial generation," previous generations are strugglingly mightily with the changing times.

Hoping for an admit for you!  When have USF and UK's decisions come out, historically?
Much appreciated!  I'll have a couple of drinks and feel sorry for myself if I go 0/4, but I think that my Cornell application was particularly strong so that's keeping my spirits up for now.  ?  Congrats on your Duke acceptance and good luck with the rest of your application cycle as well!  Must feel great to have at least one very good acceptance already!

I'm going to trust those who know best and assume that this is indeed an interview, so, congrats! I was looking for information about what to ask during visits/interviews a few days ago, and found this thread to be helpful, post #7 has a very long list of potential questions you may want answered. Hopefully you'll find it helpful as well!
I don't think so, someone posted on the results page that they were admitted to JHU (in another program) and that their GRE status still says awaiting, so it should be fine.
About the interview thing, I can't speak to every school, but I've been looking into how U Penn goes about this because I saw there were a couple of interviews posted on the results page and I know that they notoriously interview everyone they are considering for admission. Looking at old threads, it seems that people have received interview requests quite far apart, so I'm not counting U Penn as an implied rejection for another week or so!
Also @fortsibut, I'm sorry to hear that, but glad to see you're remaining so positive. Fit really seems to be everything. I wish you the best for your other applications!
