  1. also- Brandeis epistemology students have done really well, especially in recent years!
  2. Biased but would highly recommend Brandeis Beri Marusic is incredible and does a lot of great work esp at the intersection of epistemology, ethics, and action. Peter Epstein is joining the department though I'm less familiar with his work Eli Hirsch, mostly known for his work in meta-ontology wrote a book recently about skepticism and advises epistemology students all the time.
  3. Accepted off the waitlist at Stanford earlier today
  4. Declined Northwestern and will shortly remove myself from waitlists at UMass and Toronto
  5. As a Brandeis grad, I can say it’s an incredible place to be especially if you’re interested in epistemology and mind. Also the placement for this year isn’t up yet but should be quite strong. Feel free to pm me and we can discuss further. You’ve got a number of great options!
  6. Would you mind PM'ing me as well haha? Also very interested in Stanford
  7. Oops, didn't see you made mention of that, my bad!
  8. I think you're in the wrong thread, this is philosophy.
  9. Hey, just on the point about teaching, Brandeis guarantees at least one semester of TA-ship though, almost always, you can TA far more often than that. I've found it to be an invaluable part of the program so far!
  10. Brandeis has big strengths in Metaphysics (Eli Hirsch) Kant (Kate Moran is here and Jens Timmerman is here for a semester each year, he regularly advises students), Professor Hirsch teaches a course of philosophy of religion and Palle Yourgrau teaches courses and supervises theses on the Ancients! Brandeis might be a good fit, though -- of course -- as a current student I'm biased. Let me know if you have any other questions!
  11. If anyone has questions about Brandeis let me know! I'm currently there and serve as the Graduate Student Representative, so very happy to answer questions.
  12. Ended up accepting my place at Brandeis! See you all in two years
  13. Good to hear! Epistemology, with substantial interests in metaphysics, early modern, and philosophical methodology
  14. I imagine I'll be turning down an offer from Brandeis in the coming week or so. Still need to figure a few things out before doing so, but will endeavor to do all that as quickly as possible.
  15. Thanks! All the information I got was that there was a "reasonable chance based on previous history they could make me a full fellowship offer" though Prof. Bricker couldn't predict what that chance was exactly. Maybe I'll followup and ask if its a ranked waitlist etc.
  16. Also holding out hope that I'll get off the U-Mass waitlist. Lets keep our fingers crossed @Dialectica
  17. Did they mention in your e-mail where you were on WL?
