also- Brandeis epistemology students have done really well, especially in recent years!

Biased but would highly recommend Brandeis Beri Marusic is incredible and does a lot of great work esp at the intersection of epistemology, ethics, and action. Peter Epstein is joining the department though I'm less familiar with his work Eli Hirsch, mostly known for his work in meta-ontology wrote a book recently about skepticism and advises epistemology students all the time.

Hey, just on the point about teaching, Brandeis guarantees at least one semester of TA-ship though, almost always, you can TA far more often than that. I've found it to be an invaluable part of the program so far!

Brandeis has big strengths in Metaphysics (Eli Hirsch) Kant (Kate Moran is here and Jens Timmerman is here for a semester each year, he regularly advises students), Professor Hirsch teaches a course of philosophy of religion and Palle Yourgrau teaches courses and supervises theses on the Ancients! Brandeis might be a good fit, though -- of course -- as a current student I'm biased. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I imagine I'll be turning down an offer from Brandeis in the coming week or so. Still need to figure a few things out before doing so, but will endeavor to do all that as quickly as possible.

Anyone turn down offers from UMass?

Thanks! All the information I got was that there was a "reasonable chance based on previous history they could make me a full fellowship offer" though Prof. Bricker couldn't predict what that chance was exactly. Maybe I'll followup and ask if its a ranked waitlist etc.

Also holding out hope that I'll get off the U-Mass waitlist. Lets keep our fingers crossed @Dialectica
