I would love to know how people felt about the Northwestern visit and who from the group is planning on attending!

I am being waitlisted at three schools and waitlisted for funding for another one. They are all better than my available options. Finger crossed....

in case anybody is interested: i just called up northwestern and the graduate program coordinator told me that they were still waiting to send out an entire second wave of decisions over the next two weeks so i guess the wait may still be a little while longer

Talked to the POI there, was told that they are close to getting the process finished. We just have to wait.

Bosco reacted to tristatequeen in Cornell CIPA MPA 2018
@BoscoNot a ton of funding ($18k per year) but that was expected as CIPA is said to be a more affordable degree and Ithaca isn't as expensive as other cities. Trying to wait to hear back from my other schools to negotiate funding.

Bosco got a reaction from 2018Hopeful in Cornell CIPA MPA 2018
I applied back in November. I was invited to the Open House on 3/16 and I was told that they were in the process of determining fellowships and admitted applicants will be notified of the fellowship information on or before 3/1.

Bosco got a reaction from Nico Corr in Cornell CIPA MPA 2018
I am not sure if I agree with your thoughts. IMO, CIPA leans towards application on policy than theory. Their curriculum is so flexible and encourages a lot of hands-on experience, such as the capstone and consulting classes. Harris puts a heavier emphasis on theory just by looking at the curriculum. I know someone who's in Harris and she said the workload is super super heavy.

I've called and spoken to the University and they have informed me we should hear back by the end of the week or next week.

Seriously! I'm located in California so assume I'll get notified while I'm sleeping...every morning is a bit stressful, haha! Hopefully this week is the week.
