Almost wish I couldn't see the scores!
Fingers crossed for you enough others don't take it, so you get an award.

I received my results about 30 mins ago. It was my first year applying, and I was recommended but not funded (so close).
Here's the info from my results:
Committee 1A
Total Score: 9.84 / 12
Rank: 55 / 107
Applications: 107
Fellowships Offered: 52 (48.6%)
Fellowships Not Offered: 55 (51.4%)
Score of last funded application: 9.87
Good luck to everyone else!
That is so close it's criminal!

No email yet - and nothing in my last year's link either. Happy to know emails are going out so that I can be put out of my misery!

Just got my results.... I unfortunately was not awarded a scholarship. One reviewer scored me way lower than the other which brought my score down significantly Good luck to everyone else!
This happened to me on the SSHRC side last year, and there is a cutoff in total mark which triggers the 3rd reviewer. Mine was far enough apart one reviewer marked me in the top 10 and one marked me in the bottom 10. But it wasn't significant enough to trigger an extra review.

I just got off the phone with the helpdesk and while they could not tell me anything specific (because they are not the fellowships office) they advised that 2000 emails are set to be sent out today. I don't know what this means, but fingers crossed!!!
How many NSERC awards are there? I wonder if that 2000 is all of the NSERC emails.

They used to send them out by mail at some point in the summer, but they didn't send them at all last year. I ended up sending an email to schol@nserc-crsng.gc.ca September 1st and got a response about a week later. You don't get too much information, but you do get the following:
# of applicants in your committee
Research ability and potential:
Score: X/6
Rank: XRelevant experience and achievements obtained within and beyond academia:
Score: X/6
Rank: XOverall:
Score: X/6
Rank: X
I think both components are weighted equally; the overall score ultimately decides your ranking.I asked for this last year and it was really interesting. I had one reviewer who marked me 9th overall and one who marked me 10 spots form the bottom haha. But the discrepancy wasn't enough to trigger a 3rd reviewer (you need a 1.5/6 discrepancy, and mine was 1.4). I wasn't funded, and ended up deciding to apply to a different committee this year.

0/10, not me

I'm in a similar situation. If I get an award, I'll have to go on education leave from my research job with the Government of Canada. And my current leave ends in May, so the decision needs to happen soon.😬
Good luck!
I call it... how will I pay my bills, episode 2023. Haha

Usually CIHR is one week before SSHRC. So I'm going to assume we are waiting till Friday.
Which is a pain since tomorrow is my last day to change my summer grad settlement if I do win. I did okay last year, so we will see.

Does anyone who has applied previously know if you have to do a whole new password etc; or do they put this year's results in the same place as last year's?
Is it worth checking with all the fury of my ADHD??

Last year I got the email about results on the 26th, but the documents were uploaded on the 11th... sooo frustrating.

Hey Folks who have done this before, has anyone ever contested their results? I emailed SSHRC for a breakdown, and the difference between member one and member two was pretty substantial (think like more than enough for review two to move my application from well above the threshold for funding, to well below the threshold for funding).

Hey all,
I was awarded CGS. Second time applying, did not make the final round last year. This time I had way more people review my application and applied to a committee that better matched my bibliography (I'm in an Interdisciplinary program). I have a lot of experience outside academia and that boosted my score I think. Keep applying, I know the disappointment is rough.
Committee: 767-3A
Score: 10.78 / 12
Rank: 5/151
Last funded application: 9.03/12
I would be interested to hear about this! I am also in an interdisciplinary program and had a really hard time figuring out which committee

I've been doing a lot of research and have found nothing regarding their removal of waitlists. That would be unfortunate that the money simply goes unclaimed unlike prior years. Many students get their financing from being on waitlists (has happened to me in the past).
I ended up getting funded off CGS-M waitlist - but they had a category specifically for being waitlisted. This looks very much like Offered/Not Offered. So it makes me wonder if its just a matter of money not given out this year becomes extra awards next year kinda thing.

That is beyond frustrating as I was in the 752 - 3B committee. I scored 9.48, the cut-off was 9.88. Maybe if I would have been put in another comittee, I could have been selected.
Just curious as well since waitlisted isn't a thing anymore, I am assuming that if someone in the committee declines the award then it goes forward to the other person next in line?
If there is no wait-list, maybe it is just that - no waitlist, so anything not claimed is just... not claimed?

It is something else. If I remember correctly, last year they sent an email early April to say that we would be receiving an email to set up the extranet (what an unnecessary hear attack that email caused) and then they sent out the extranet info at the end of April (I got it April 28) and the results were already uploaded when I signed in.
Good luck everyone, the closer it gets to the last week of April, the harder the wait! FYI, this is my third time applying, first time didn't make it out of the university, last year made it to the final round with a relatively high score (close but no cigar). Just remember it is not a reflection on the worth of your scholarship if you don't get it (or so I keep telling myself :-))
So much this. This is my first time applying, and I am really curious what my score will be like. When I looked at last year's results, it looked like a lot of scores which would have been funded in previous years were not funded.

I emailed them and this was the answer:
''The applications are no longer available on our website after the competition deadline.
The results of the doctoral awards competition will be sent electronically via the SSHRC extranet. We anticipate that the results will be available by the end of April 2022.
You will receive an e-mail with more details in the coming weeks.''
Based on this in the previous years, I guess we wont have the result before the last days of April, or even May. Good luck with the waiting!
Thanks for getting us all an update. Its funny - I did a great job putting it out of my mind for a long time, but since April ticked over its been a lot harder!
-
It is literally the worst. Based on previous years, we have like 23 - 25 more days to go lol.
-
I am also dying to know. I had no idea that they actually score your application, so I am pretty excited to see the score whether I get the scholarship or not.
-
I haven't heard anything yet - though I believe results are supposed to be here by end of April at the latest?
-
Anyone waitlisted at U of G heard yet?

I was not funded committee 3 was mean haha. My (much stronger) application was marked 2.3 points lower than last years with committee 5.
