I would say, do the thing that you know you want to do in your heart, but that you’re afraid of doing. From the short paragraph you wrote, this seems like Emily Carr. I feel like we’re afraid of something because it’s new; it diverges from the thing we’re comfortable with. Is this not the point of grad school? You only get to do it once, and then you can move back to where you live now and pick up your previous life if that’s what you want. I wouldn’t base my decision on where to go on your current employment, because you’ll probably have to drop a lot of your clients/gigs anyways, while you’re in the program, no? And if you wanted to keep freelancing with these clients forever, why even go to grad school. Maybe a new environment will be conducive to making new kinds of work too. Anyways, just my two cents!

I got accepted to VCU for Photo + Film on Monday. 
 
Also got got an interview request for San Fran State for Cinema (was told I’m a finalist, but before they can issue an acceptance letter, an interview is required). 
 
Still waiting on Syracuse University for Art Video. 
 
Buttttt I visited RISD today and might just accept their offer!!!!!

Accepted to SMFA at Tufts University with an extremely generous scholarship ??. Super happy and excited about it!

About an hour ago, I received an invitation to interview from SVA for Graphic Design. The interview is for Monday ?
I think they sent them all out at the same time, because they accidentally put another person's name in the subject line. Harbor, if you are here, good luck!

I really wouldn't worry about it! It's totally possible they had a different set of questions for the Fine Arts MFA. 

I think last year VCU sent out photo interview requests third week of Feb, so hopefully next week

Just received an interview invitation from Columbia College Chicago via email ??

It seems like Columbia College Chicago had interviews previous years but the grad admissions said they don’t give them. Maybe that’s a new thing this year? Anyone applied there before?

I also haven’t heard from VCU (film/photo)

Me too! I can hardly focus on anything, it's ridiculous. I have dinner plans with my partner at a nice restaurant to either celebrate or cheer up, ha!
I applied last year for photo and again this year. I didn't get an interview but I was finishing up my BFA while applying and I hear they pretty much flat out don't accept people who will be fresh out of undergrad. Here's to hoping I do better this year. Good luck to you!
 

It looked personalized and they reached out to me on skype after I confirmed the time and my skype handle. So I think they're doing it manually. Don't get worried yet, I was terrified when they sent out Painting invitations, thinking it was the end of it. But there was a week delay between that and my invite.

Hey guys! I got my Yale rejection and had to spend the weekend moving (LOL FUN TIMES) so I didn't have the chance to say congrats to everyone who got an interview!! Best of luck and for all of us who got rejected, we'll keep chugging along! I'll be applying next year for sure so if anyone wants to send along their website and post about how your interview goes, that would be greatly appreciated
