When did you apply, and did you apply through CSDCAS? I have emailed them a few times and they keep saying they'll email out the link to pay the app fee, but it hasn't happened yet. And now someone posted about them already moving to a waitlist? I'm honestly so confused!
I believe last year we had to fill out a supplemental form and then we received an email with a link to submit payment.

Greetings from a 2019 applicant! Saw this thread up in my recents and thought I'd comment. I visited NYU (out-of-state) for a prospective student session in the fall and applied there. I've noticed that a lot of individuals from New York apply to many schools in the state besides NYU (or it doesn't seem as common) -- I'm curious if there's a reason for this, and being in-state you may have more insight. Please share if you want to!
NYU is extremely expensive. If you're from NY, chances are you are trying to get into a state school since they are so much cheaper and in some people's opinions offer a better education/program.

I just got the email I got through the initial review today and I should be notified about a decision by April 20... so far away
They told me less than a month after I got that initial review email, so hopefully, you won't have to wait too long!

I believe they had an earlier deadline last year, so that is why people heard back much earlier than they are this year.
Yep! this was for last year (I applied for fall 2018 admission)

Hey everyone! I know that last year people started hearing back from Adelphi around early February. Does anyone know if that was because they had a different deadline? Or do you think we'll start hearing from them soon? Thanks!!
My official acceptance letter was dated 2/1, so hopefully you'll hear this month!

Thank you! Do they notify through email or on the portal?
Email with an official letter attached (I think eventually official letter also came in the mail)

I was notified on 2/9 that I got through the initial review and received an official acceptance on 2/28

hi! i was just wondering if you remember when you were notified you got accepted to these programs? I applied to both for this upcoming fall. Also, if you wouldn't mind sharing (totally okay if you don't want to) your GRE scores and GPA?
Thanks!
LIU Post- Accepted- offered interview on 1/16/18 (interview was some time in February); they called me very shortly after my interview to offer admission
Hofstra- Waitlisted- notified 3/28/18

Both extremely extremely extremely competitive schools. Either program will give you what you need to work in schools.

Hello, I took the gre a while ago and got really low scores in the 130's do you think I have a shot? I have a 3.9 gpa great rec letters and a great personal statment i had teachers proofread. I think it is late to retake the gre since ddeadlines are coming up soon. Any advice?
A lot of schools will have a cutoff for GPA & GRE. If you don't meet those, your application will not be reviewed- meaning that they won't bother to look at your letters, personal statement, resume, etc. I would encourage you to apply to schools that clearly state that they don't do this cutoff or don't require GREs.

GPA 3.4
GRE V:151 Q:154 Writing:4.5
I applied to 15 schools total
Rejected- 6
Waitlisted- 3
Accepted- 3
Turned down interviews for- 2 (once I had received these interviews offers and I had already received early admission to one of my top choice schools)
1 school never got back to me with an admissions decision (assuming they lost the application)

I had a 3.4 GPA and my GRE scores were pretty average (writing was a bit above average). I got into a handful of schools, even turned down some interview opportunities. I was also waitlisted a few times, but I never got off any of the waitlists (as of 8/20/18). I actually got early acceptance into a state school, which is where I am going starting this fall. Feel free to message me.

I hired a coach, mostly for editing purposes but she assisted with a few other aspects of the process as well. Feel free to message me if you want to know more about it!

I checked my online portal and it’s still in review I just want some answer already it’s May ?
I talked to someone who was accepted months ago and they said their online portal never changed, so I've given up checking that
They sent out rejections by mail and I never received one so I assume that's a good sign. I'm still waiting to hear from 2 other schools, not including St Johns.

Yes! I haven't heard from them!

I haven't heard from St. John's, Touro, Midwestern Downers Grove, and Molloy.

I'm still waiting to hear back. I submitted my application in January.

Hello. So I recently talked to an SLP who transferred her license from MA to NY. After receiving her NY license she applied for a TSSLD (which took 4-6 weeks). She said the classes are offered all over and cost $50-$150 a class. They are typically 4-6 hours in one sitting. She said she completed 4 classes which cost her $500 total. I have no idea if this answers your question, but hopefully, it helps a little. What grad program are you in that doesn't offer the TSSLD?

I know some people who have yet to hear from Montclair, so you are not alone!
