This application cycle I was admitted to both FSU and UF for their PhD programs. I also visited FSU's campus, and later accepted their offer for admission. I will say that FSU has almost no continental stuff going on there, but they do have a strong program overall. Although several people do philosophy of psychology, so that may overlap with your interests some, and they have a talented Ancient guy there.
UF has more of a continental presence going on, for sure. I would go to their faculty page and look at those listed as continental and see if their research vibes with yours. As far as strength of program, you'll do well at UF; they are solid. They had to suspend their program for a bit because the university cut their funding, but they are back, and they have some quality work going on there. You could do much worse. It seems, also, to have a vibrant grad population. I can't really say if it will be worth your time, though. It depends on your overall goals. If you're going for the English PhD, though, I wouldn't worry too much about your choice. UF will be just fine for you.

I accepted my offer from Indiana early this morning!
I only had another offer from Cincinnati, but I declined that on Friday when I heard from Indiana.

I hope you get it! But Fordham is a great consolation prize, if not!

On the edge of my seat waiting for a response from UNC. When I last checked with them on Friday, they told me I was still in the running and Dr. Paul said she'd try to get back to me in a timely manner...

Hello UNC people: I bravely emailed Dr. Paul again. I'll let you know what she tells me. It's April 15th, after all!!

I received an email from Walter Ott just now saying it was likely I would receive an offer this afternoon. Thank. You. So. Much. @Xia1.

Option A imo. Money aspect will take a lot of pressure off of you. And being close to home is very helpful. Also, since it's an MA, you don't have to zero in on your AOIs this early. You can always explore your AOIs in a PhD. Plus, your AOIs can always change!

Accepted at Fordham!

I've been told that I'm still under consideration at UNC! I emailed/called to solicit. Fingers crossed...I'm praying this works out at the eleventh hour as UNC was one of my top choice schools and it would be a miracle...

I've accepted the offer from Indiana University! Consequently I've turned down the offer from Brandeis and removed myself from waiting lists at UW-Madison, Michigan State, CU-Boulder, UC Davis, and the University of Virginia. I hope that helps someone here.
It's been great to have an outlet for all the frustration this process caused, and to have more people who understand what I'm going through to share these moments with. I wish you all the very best, and perhaps I'll (unknowingly) meet some of you again in the future.

A few days ago I was accepted to Memorial University of Newfoundland's PhD program off the wait-list. IMMENSELY relieved, since I did the unwise thing and put all my eggs in one basket.  Guess that makes my applied:acceptance ratio pretty good!  But joking aside, pretty stoked. Full funding ($20k/year), plus paid GAships to start.  I can't wait.  As far as Canadian schools go, MUN is one of the best for continental philosophy.

I second the above. I got a response yesterday, and it was the same thing.

At noon on Sunday I intend to accept FSU's MA offer (with great jubilation). I do think I would accept the wait list offers if they were to come through; however, I have at least some reason to believe I'm not high on the list at any of those programs, so I expect I'll be in Tallahassee come August.

Yeah, My AOI is early modern. I got the same generic waitlist e-mail from Virg. I don't really expect to get in, because I am pretty sure I am one of the last on their waitlist. My GRE was not superb, your probably ahead of me, my sample paper is what kept me afloat. But, if you want to turn them down, I would be forever in your debt...you can have my parents, my sister, my parent's house after I give you my parents, all my money...lol, I am not holding my breath for this one

Got my Virginia waitlist, as well.

Also wait listed at VA, got the email yesterday...
